Jerry Brisco vs. Les Thornton (8/19/81)

 

This is an awesome mat wrestling match as both men are just trading holds and counters at a fluid pace. Thornton was the NWA Jr. champ here and a master wrestler so this was done to show Brisco was just as good and ready to win the title. Thornton was throwing some real nasty European uppercuts here and was working tight as shit. Brisco would get the upset win and this was just a damn good match. This moves forward easily.
