Posted February 8, 201312 yr comment_5534069 It's really weird to see Pogo without his sickle, in a match without sharp objects or blading. This was basic, but in good way. Solid, well executed match. Pogo isn't super mobile here, but he comes across as a guy who could deliver big shots when he needed to and his offense is more varied than I remembered. Santana is a good babyface, with the right look and style for the era. Highlights were Pogo and Santana splatting on splash attempts, and Pogo's attempted senton where he landed nut first on Ricky's knees. Sunset flip finish is so 80's. Wrestling needs more matches like this. This is nothing I'd go to the wall for, but it might be worthwhile to get some Pogo on a PR Set and I like this better than some of the other marginal/low end stuff.
May 13, 20169 yr comment_5752716 I had done a write up on this match and completely erased it by mistake. This is from 9/10/88 and I thought this was a pretty good little match here with Santana looking good and Pogo holding his own. I'll pass this is on as a low-end nomination.
