Posted February 11, 201312 yr comment_5534628 Southeastern Tag Titles: The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Steve Armstrong & "Wildfire" Tommy Rich (6/17/85) This is a war from the bell as Tommy is pissed about Johnny's injury and takes it to the Nightmares who are at their best here bumping and selling like crazy. Tommy is on the mic firing the crowd up as the Nightmares are laid out on the floor and this is some good shit. Such great punches here by the faces and Nightmares are getting steamrolled here. We go to a break with Steve in control but come back with him making the hot tag to Tommy so we missed his FIP but we get Tommy's FIP though which was solid as Nightmares did their switching often. Rich is fun in his hope spots here before getting the tag to Steve which sets up the 4-way brawl where Steve puts the sleeper on one Nightmare while the other comes off the top with a diving axehandle then switches to get the pin. Very fun match and I'm throwing this up as a low-end pick.
October 16, 201311 yr comment_5567543 Southeastern Tag Titles: The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. Steve Armstrong & "Wildfire" Tommy Rich This starts out with a wild brawl. the Nightmares show that they are one hell of a great tag team. They are having killer matches. Eventually this slows down into a traditional tag but with kick ass brawling. The Nightmares sure can take an ass kicking. We go to commercial and promos while the Nightmares are getting their asses beat. We come back and Steve makes the hot tag to Rich. Rich was great kicking ass here. Sure enough he gets cut off ang goes to FIP. We build to a great finish and the Nightmares do the old switcheroo for the duke. At 1st I was going low end nomination, but will settle on the Solid nomination.
