February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536827 I'm going to say vs. Lord Steven Regal at Halloween Havoc 93. Amazing counter wrestling unlike anything else on WCW at that time. Amazing narrative about class with Regal refusing to lockup with the "commoner". And because I like obscure picks.
February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536828 Third for vs Owen, Euro title. UP NEXT: Shinya Hashimoto. I'll go with the Zero-One debut main event (Hashimoto/Nagata vs Misawa/Akiyama)
February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536829 I am too lazy to check the date on my favorite Hash v. Tenryu match, so I will say Hash v. Zangiev
February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536834 I am too lazy to check the date on my favorite Hash v. Tenryu match, so I will say Hash v. ZangievAre you thinking of Hash vs Tenryu from NJPW 8/8/93? 1993 MOTY, maybe even a MOTDC.
February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536835 I am too lazy to check the date on my favorite Hash v. Tenryu match, so I will say Hash v. ZangievAre you thinking of Hash vs Tenryu from NJPW 8/8/93? 1993 MOTY, maybe even a MOTDC. Going with Hash/Zangiev because its just different. I will look up that Tenryu '93 match though for sure
February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536839 Last time I saw Hash/Tenryu 8/8/93, a couple years ago, I felt it would be on the very short list of best matches I'd ever seen. Granted I haven't watched it since.
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536879 Hashimoto vs. Takada IWGP title match. Bout to watch the Takada/vader trilogy on Youtube from 93/94 since I've really liked the UWFI stuff have seen.(Plus prime WCW champion vader is one of my all-time favorites) What's the date on the Hash/Takada match? 2 for Hash/Zangiev, 2 for Hash/Tenryu 8/8/93
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536897 I'll thow my two cents, and since I havent watched 90's puro in ages, I'll go for the first one who comes to mind, Hash vs Choshu from the G1 Climax 96. Awesome final. Simple and basic as hell, but man dit that work for me.
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536902 Third for vs Owen, Euro title. UP NEXT: Shinya Hashimoto. I'll go with the Zero-One debut main event (Hashimoto/Nagata vs Misawa/Akiyama) Hashimoto/Takada
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536905 Second for Hash vs. Choshu from the '96 G1. You can make the case for the G1 outings vs. Tenryu or Muto or even Takada at the Dome, but this was the one I saw that put me on the Hash bandwagon and remains a personal favorite to this day.
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536918 Third on Hash-Choshu from the 1996 G1... simply because I was in the building and it worked extremely well live. NEXT: Aja Kong Picked her because there's likely to be a lot of variety among choices. Mine: 08/30/95 Aja Kong vs Dynamite Kansai title change. Just really love her performance in that one. She's the "right" one to lose it to Kansai, it's the "right" climax to their series and Kansai's efforts to beat her, and Aja's selling is awesome.
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536932 Aja. One of my all-time favourites. I really need to go back to joshi one of these days, or years. I'll say Aja Kong vs Megumi Kudo from 12/09/1993, because I loved Kudo too.
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536940 Thunderqueen. (Or are we talking "best individual performance" rather than "best match X was involved in"?)
February 25, 201312 yr comment_5536943 I was tempted to go Thunderqueen as well but didn't for the reason you noted. Haven't seen enough of her singles work at this point to honestly put forth a vote.
February 26, 201312 yr comment_5536964 Yeah, that's tough, Thunderqueen is definitely my pick for "best match featuring Aja Kong", and she IS vital to it, but it's not the best "Aja Kong match". I'll go with 11/20/94 vs Toyota.
