Posted February 17, 201312 yr comment_5535622 This was a follow up to the tv match I watched the other day. El Profe is suspended above the ring in a cage. A rare match from this era where Colon does not build to or go to the figure-four at all. He's actually on the defensive a ton early, with TNT attacking his arm relentlessly. They do some really good spots off of rope running exchanges, including a really great looking hooking clothesline from Colon and an awesome kick from TNT. Later Carlos sold the fuck out of a back kick, going totally dead legged but staying on his feet and getting caught in the cobra clutch. Colon is awesome here desperately trying to escape by wildly kicking off the ropes, but TNT won't let up. Finally Colon goes to old faithful - the back kick to the nuts. From there this really escalates into a wild brawl, with TNT taking some nice bumps. TNT blades himself dangerously on a posting and the match ends on a countout as they brawl wildly on the floor. Really good match.
August 30, 201312 yr comment_5559400 This is very good, much more wrestling then most of the matches on the set. TNT has a great flash savante kick which he uses to flip momentum a bunch. The brawling parts are good too, although I didn't love the countout Very strong match
May 14, 20169 yr comment_5752743 Universal Heavyweight Title: Carlos Colon © vs. TNT (11/27/86) El Profe is placed in a cage before the match which was a cool looking red cage. Colon starts off strong but TNT soon would take control and Colon is definitely in trouble as TNT really focuses on his left arm. TNT hits a sweet savate kick on Colon who was running the ropes trying to gather himself before going back to the arm. Colon would get a big desperation GIant Baba style clothesline to kickstart his comeback and the fans were losing their minds as Colon beating TNT down. Colon would lock on the sleeper hold but TNT got to the ropes to break the hold and survive. Colon then locked on another sleeper hold but TNT would break free kicking Carlos right in the fucking face and locked on his Cobra Clutch but Colon would get to the ropes. TNT is frantically trying to put Colon away any way he could but Colon ever the fighter kept coming back even though he is now juicing and TNT is like a vampire with his constant biting. The fans are begging for Colon to fight back and he does as he does his cartwheel then starts teeing off on TNT but again TNT comes back with a huge savate kick then locks on the Cobra Clutch with Colon using the ropes a couple of times trying to break free until finally as an act of desperation he kicks Colon in the balls from behind. Colon now has finally made the full comeback and he beats TNT from pillar to post with TNT doing a big blade job gushing blood. They keep brawling on the floor and the referee has no choice but to count both men out. Another fucking awesome war in Puerto Rico and a definite nomination.
