Posted February 20, 201312 yr comment_5536370 This was another of those 7 minute Piper specials where he has a fun spirited brawl. This was very similar to the Orndorff matches but not as good. They have a nice little give and take for a few minutes inside the ring. Eventually Piper us outside and we get some Fuji interference . Muraco would come out and Lawn dart Piper into the ring post . Piper is busted open. Outside Piper pumps himself up to get in the ring.(normally this would bother me but fits Piper 's character)He's back in and just beating Muraco's ass and now Muraco is busted open. We start building to a finish and we get an incredible false finish on Fuji's interference. Piper kicked out at the last minute.A really fun spirited fight that feels like a low end nomination.
June 2, 2025Jun 2 comment_6030649 Roddy Piper vs. Don Muraco (Boston 11/1/86) - Roddy just throws his kilt at Don and attacks. Non stop attacking from Piper. Big kicks in the corner. Using chairs on the outside. Biting Don’s nose. Throat thrust. Just vicious. A Muraco chop turns the tide. Outside, Piper gets rammed into the post and he is bleeding. Piper tries to get back in the ring. Now Muraco is busted open. From what? Piper biting him? They just beat each other up. Nothing wrong with that. Nice nearfall as Fuji hooks Piper with the cane and Muraco falls on top for two. Piper grabs Fuji but as Muraco charges, he hits Fuji instead of Piper and Roddy gets the pin. This was so much fun. STRONG NOMINATION.

June 4, 2025Jun 4 comment_6030726 Muraco's beard is outstanding. Piper throws his kilt in Muraco's face & we're off. This starts as a fun deal with Piper tossing Muraco around. Things pick up exponentially when Piper is smashed headfirst into the ring post. Piper is a bloody mess. It's sort of Piper's charm that he never hides his blade well as he had it ready a few spots before. I smiled when I noticed it. Awesome moment where Piper returns to the ring & bloodies Muraco who makes it pour really well by squinching his face. Great trading of punches. The near fall off the Fuji interference is tremendous & the crowd is really into everything. Piper gets the roll up win right after to a big pop. Super fun bloody brawl. Piper is the king of short, bloody brawls in the WWF. STRONG NOMINATION
