Willie B. Hert vs. "Nightmare" Ken Wayne (10/2/88)

There was some good back and forth action here with Wayne bumping hard for Willie and trying to attack his head which wasn't the right move since you know he's black and has a hard head. The action would eventually go to the floor where both men got counted out. Decent for what it was.

Grappler #2 vs. Lee Peak (10/2/88)

Peak actually gets some offense in here before losing.

"Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Private Pyle (10/2/88)

Pyle would use a foreign object to neutralize Idol but not for long as Idol comes back and squashes Pyle.

Next we get promos from DWB & Jerry Stubbs who is a heel again.

"Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony & "Mr. Perfect" Jerry Stubbs vs. The Party Patrol (Davey & Johnny Rich) (10/2/88)

Rich's look strong early working over the heels with timely double-team moves being key in their offense. They were throwing some really good punches as well and the heels were solid at selling the punishment. The heels would use double-team moves as well to gain the advantage and took proper short cuts to get the advantage on Johnny. DWB & Stubbs were a very good team and had nice chemistry here knowing how to work as a team to keep Johnny isolated in the ring. Davey would finally get the hot tag and the 4-way brawl was on until DWB clubbed Davey with a foreign object allowing Stubbs to get the pin. The heels keep going afterwards until The Bullet runs out to clean house. Fun TV match and I think it's worthy of another look as a low-end pick.

Then we get promos from DWB & Stubbs from the locker room about Bullet's attack.

"White Lightning" Tim Horner vs. Mr. Alan Martin (10/2/88)

Kokina is still with Martin at ringside and gets his potshots in on Horner. Kokina's presence would backfire though as Horner threw Martin into him and got the O'Connor Roll to win.

The next show starts with clips of the Bullet angle from last week and Bullet announces that Brad Armstrong is coming back to the area to help him fight off the heels. Bullet is then attacked by a guy in a hood and he's unmasked as DWB with Stubbs right behind him. They try to break Bullet's shoulder until the Rich's make the save.

Dr. Tom Prichard vs. The Invader (10/16/88)

Doc eats some offense but wins in the end.

Then we get clips of the King of Birmingham tournament that finally took place on 10/3/88 where Dr. Tom beat DWB for the Continental title.

The Party Patrol (Davey & Johnny Rich) vs. The Count & Grappler #2 (10/16/88)

Fairly easy win for the Rich's.

Willie B. Hert vs. Chuck Allen (10/16/88)

Squash.

Mr. Alan Martin is out next for a promo with his newest charge.....Masahiro Chono and Martin wants a loser leaves town match with Kokina against Humongous. Extra material.

Masahiro Chono vs. The Equalizer (10/16/88)

Lots of masked jobbers here.

Next we get a promo from Ken Wayne with clips of his hair match against Danny Davis from 10/3/88. This looked like a blast.

Bullet comes back out with his arm in a sling and Stubbs comes running out trying to attack him with Bullet fighting him off. DWB then attacks from behind though and they work over the shoulder again until Brad Armstrong runs out to make the save throwing some of the best dropkicks I've ever seen here. Willie B. Hert joins the fray and the heels go running. This was good stuff.

Not a whole lot on the disc excited me.

"Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony & "Mr. Perfect" Jerry Stubbs vs. The Party Patrol (Davey & Johnny Rich)

I thought this was a decent tag but not a nomination. I thought the Party Patrol looked good in their shine segement. It was made better with how good the heels sold and stooged for them. Stubbs and DWB are a pair of pros who know the tricks. I really liked the cutoff sequence for the heels to gain control. They crissed crossed it up and made it interesting. One of the Rich cousins gets tossed towards Stubbs in the corner. Stubbs will usually get his knee up and hit him in the back. Here they do it but rich hits Stubbs while DWB gives him the knee in the back. For a change of pace it was cool. After that the match got cold for me. The heat segment was pretty mediocre and I blame the Party Patrol for that. Still a solid match but fails as a nomination for me.

We get clips of the Wayne/Davis hair match which is extra material. Man what a screw job.
