Posted February 24, 201312 yr comment_5536728 Dr. Tom Prichard vs. Todd Morton (7/3/89) Dr. Tom is a heel yet again here. Short but fun match with Morton looking good and Prichard reversing an inside cradle using the tights to win. Doc cuts a promo afterwards saying that he would be doing color the rest of the show "Beauty" Terry Garvin vs. "Exotic" Adrian Street (7/3/89) This is a natural feud. Garvin hands Lora the ring girl his robe and then slapped her which was something else with Prichard saying that she deserved it and she gets it every night anyway. Garvin dominates Street early and often here and Street was getting nothing in then all of a sudden more heels run out to attack Street handcuffing him to the rope as Garvin destroyed Miss Linda until the cavalry came. Garvin cuts a promo afterwards until Street runs him off and then cuts an angry promo himself. Wild angle there. Next we get the Glory Days video for Lawler. The Southern Boys (Steve Armstrong & Tracy Smothers) vs. "Cowboy" Kevin Dillenger (Alan Martin) & Don "The Stomper" Harris (7/3/89) Southern Boys look really good here. Next we get a promo by Robert Fuller & Brian Lee about coming to Continental and the Rage in the Cage. "Tennessee Stud" Robert Fuller & "Primetime" Brian Lee vs. "Nightmare" Danny Davis & Jackie Fulton (7/3/89) Jimmy Golden is at ringside doing commentary with Charlie Platt. Fulton takes a lot of punishment early while Golden shittalks Davis from the table. Davis doesn't even get in the ring as Fulton gets pinned. Next we get a promo from the Southern Boys. "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey vs. Mike Davis (7/3/89) Condrey is working as a face here which was a rarity. Davis jumps Condrey at the bell and really works him over but it isn't too long before Condrey rebounds and takes it to Davis. After a ref bump, Davis breaks out a chain but Condrey blocks him then grabs the chain and jacks his jaw to win. Condrey cuts a promo afterwards on Prichard. Fun little match. Next we get a promo from Street & Miss Linda about the angle from last week with clips. "Beauty" Terry Garvin vs. Johnnie Gilbert (7/3/89) Garvin wins easily and cuts a promo on Street afterwards. Garvin says that women are only around to give birth so men won't have to go through the pain. Next we go to the 3rd fall of a match with Golden & Jerry Stubbs against The New Rock n Roll Express (Ricky & Todd Morton) and I would've liked to have seen the first two falls. Stubbs with that hairpiece is always hilarious and Stubbs drops the fall after the Studs interference backfired. Stubbs tried fighting them but ate a spike piledriver, loaded boot, and spike piledriver on a chair. Stubbs would continue to get destroyed until the Morton's ran back in. Extra material. Then we get a promo from the Studs afterwards. The show closes with a Sylvia video. The next show opens with Platt & Ron West announcing that Condrey had defeated Prichard for the Continental Heavyweight Title. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. Don "The Stomper" Harris (7/22/89) Harris wasn't very good. Cooley did fine though. Next we get a promo by Cooley about Condrey turning heel on him. "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey vs. Tom Lively (7/22/89) Squash and then a promo by Condrey about Cooley. Then we get clips of a Garvin/Street match from the week before with the debut of Beast (not Mark Guleen but a woman.) Street then cuts a promo with facepaint like fucking Papa Shango. "Beauty" Terry Garvin vs. "Nightmare" Danny Davis (7/22/89) Garvin has his beast on a chain here and he attacks Davis at the bell. Davis would fight back though while still wearing his t-shirt he wore to the ring. Davis would lock on the sleeper until Beast got involved allowing Garvin to attack him with his perfume can for the DQ. Garvin cuts a promo afterwards and kisses Charlie Platt. "Gorgeous" Jimmy Golden vs. Don Sanders (7/22/89) Squash with a promo by the Studs afterwards.
October 27, 201311 yr comment_5569050 Not much to the disc. One segement stood out as an extra. The 3rd fall of the Morton's vs Golden and Stubbs. Stubbs came out of this as the big time face of the company. He got so much sympathy by putting up a fight before the turn, and then sympathy after the Studd Stable leaves him for dead.
