Posted March 5, 201312 yr comment_5537848 http://www.dailymotion.com/us/relevance/se.../1#video=x63l4a This was a good bit better than the first MSG match and I think it's close to an easy nomination. Savage is tremendous in this and sells his ass off. His opening flurry is fucking great with Ted getting a bloody nose in the process. I thought the structure of this was really interesting as it had two separate heat segments. Savage's comeback in the middle was more of a face shine that looked to lead to the finish but they started another heat segment which was cool and unique. Ted was a bit repetitive in his offense but he was working pretty hard and still threw a lot out there to try and put Savage away. The finish may bother some but I thought the pop was awesome and the post-match was really fun. I really think this is a strong lock for the set but just not quite a really great match.
July 11, 201312 yr comment_5551613 I agree with Exposer that it's a solid nomination , border line high end nomination. If the finish wasn't so abrupt I'd push it as such. I think that is a WWF problem. Right off the bat it's all hectic. Dibiase even gets a broken nose in the process. It added to the drama. I loved Teddy targeting Savage's throat. He did a good job with that and dropping some of the most beautiful fist drops. Savage had some great comebacks with a lot of fire. I dug the turnbuckle spot that the camera man missed most of. I liked the finish but would have enjoyed it more if we would have seen Virgil tampering with the turnbuckle padding.
June 8Jun 8 comment_6030979 I stick with this & then some. DiBiase’s bloody nose is awesome & I think Ted is quite good in the heat. The finish is annoying, but it's early in the feud. The post-match is tremendous with DiBiase & Virgil attacking Savage while he was holding Elizabeth on his shoulders. This had mega heat. EASY NOMINATION
June 20Jun 20 comment_6031533 I NEED TO REWATCH THIS AGAIN BECAUSE THIS IS THE 1ST HUGE DISAGREEMENT: Savage attacks with his cape, glasses and headband on. The crowd is electric! Inside, they just start punching each other in the face until Macho gets an atomic drop and clotheslines him over the top. That’s a small variation from last month. DiBiase is bleeding from the nose. DiBiase is still in control and punishing Macho Man. Like the April match, Macho does enough to always make it interesting and give the crowd hope. Ted goes for the 2nd rope axe but gets punched in the gut. Macho fights back and Ted is begging for mercy. Macho ends up outside again and Ted beats him up outside and he taunts inside as the Macho Man is at his feet. Two falling fists for a 2 count. More gaga with Liz and Virgil. Both guys get rammed into the corner and a double knockout. Virgil interferes for the DQ. Bleh. Horrible ending. The match is hotter than last month’s but not by much and the finish sucked. No nomination.
