Posted March 11, 201312 yr comment_5538457 This starts with promos from Cooley, Dr. Tom, DWB, & Welch. Dr. Tom Prichard vs. Roy Lee Welch (10/6/86) Freddie Miller announces that this wasn't a title match but Doc told Freddie that this was a title match and it was changed although Solie said on his format this wasn't listed as a title match. Prichard starts fast and furious here but Welch comes back with some hard hitting offense laying in with some hard chops and slams. Solie in mid-match then announced that this was a non-title match officially as Welch is having his way with Prichard. Prichard though to his credit was on the floor and loaded up his boot then came back in the ring and KOed Welch with his enzuigiri to win. Prichard then grabbed the title and walked out celebrating. Very fun match and almost a nomination. Solie calls Kevin Sullivan to the podium where he announced that the Southeastern Tag Titles were being stripped off his New Guinea Headhunters. Sullivan is upset but Solie upsets him more after playing a phonecall by Ron Fuller saying that if Sullivan doesn't defend his Continental title against The Tennessee Stud he would be suspended indefinitely. Extra material. Next we get a promo from Sullivan and his stable. Then we get a promo from Cooley with clips of his match with Stubbs the week before. "Exotic" Adrian Street vs. Kelly Dillenger (10/6/86) Easy win for Street. Solie then returns the Southeastern tag titles to the Bullet who says that revenge is coming to Sullivan. Then we get clips of Jimmy Golden being put in an ambulance due to what happened in an earlier match with the Headhunters with Solie saying that Robert Fuller had his wrist broken as well. This leads to a promo with Ron Fuller & Gordon Solie going over the situation with Sullivan and his stable. Complete overview here and a definite extra. The promos with Robert Fuller and Jimmy Golden in a bed blinded and Kevin Sullivan from a beach in Hawaii with PURPLE HAZE MARK LEWIN in the ocean was awesome. Next we get promos from Sullivan, Sheik Abdullah, & Colt. "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley (10/13/86) This is a fight at the bell as Cooley is pissed about DWB turning on him. Cooley would go for the bulldog early but DWB would counter with a big backdrop suplex. DWB is ruthless here working over Cooley forcing juice to come out of his head. Cooley would hit a desperation diving lariat that sent DWB flying to the floor and giving Cooley the chance he needed as they went to the floor where Cooley stole a chair from DWB and clocked him with it. DWB is now juicing as they take it back to the ring where Cooley throws the referee around then DWB does the same as both men just pound on each other as it takes numerous referees to separate them. Very fun action and double juice gets match on the block as a nomination. Then we get promos from Bullet & Street who reads a fairytale about Rip & Brenda who cut a promo in retort. The Bullet & The Tennessee Stud vs. The New Guinea Headhunters (10/13/86) This was supposed to be the masked men vs. The Mongol & Eddy Ware but Sullivan came out and demanded a battle with Sullivan's stable. The Nightmares run down and throw Sullivan's men in the ring so they can all get beat on then join in making it an 8-way battle. Then we get a promo from everyone afterwards. This is great stuff and extra material. Next we get promos from Bullet, Nightmares, & Stud. The Nightmares (Danny Davis & Ken Wayne) vs. The Mongol & Eddy Ware (10/13/86) Squash. Then we get a promo from Sullivan and his stable followed up by the Nightmares. Southeastern Heavyweight Title: "Exotic" Adrian Street © vs. "Hustler" Rip Rogers (10/13/86) Street grabbing Rip's balls then blowing in his face was a great spot. This is all Street until Brenda passes him an object which he uses to KO Street for the win. Miss Linda gets the referee to check him and he finds the object so he reverses the decision so Rip hits Linda with a big clothesline afterwards. Next we get a promo from Rip & Brenda and an upset Street. Then we get Sullivan and his stable where he tells his side of things in the war with the babyfaces. Extra material. US Jr. Heavyweight Title: Roy Lee Welch © vs. Dr. Tom Prichard (10/13/86) This is an official title match. Prichard dominates early taking the battle to Welch who can't do anything to stop him until some hair pulling out of a headlock gets him the chance to start working Doc over. This turns into a good back and forth battle with both men giving as well as they took it before a ref bump which gave Prichard new life but he would throw Welch over the top rope for the DQ. Next we get promos from Cooley, Prichard, DWB, Sullivan and his boys. Chris Von Colt & Sheik Abdullah vs. Gilbert Hall & Pat Myers (10/13/86) Squash. Then we get promos from Bullet, Stud, & Sullivan which leads to a wild brawl. Extra material. The next show starts with a promo from the Stud who vows to get rid of Sullivan's army one by one. The New Guinea Headhunters vs. Thomas Brown & Ferrel Spradlin (10/27/86) Total squash.
October 4, 201312 yr comment_5566047 My disc starts with Golden going into the ambulance. Then we get an overview of what's happening. Another just awesome promo from Sullivan. Extra. Their should probabaly be a disc of Sullivan promos, angles, etc. He really is entertaining. Next up we get "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony vs. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley (10/13/86) This is billed as a revenge match. This is a southern brawl. They start out with both guys throwing punches of one another. Cooley gets the better of the DWB and looks to end it quickly with the Stampede and DWB throws this really awesome looking counter to gain control. DWB now beats on Cooley and he's a bleeding and DWB just goes after the cut. They are on the floor and Cooley gives the DWB a charshot and now he's bleeding. Both guys throw the ref and it's a double DQ. The refs try to stop it to no avail and they keep brawling with one another. Eventually order is restored. What a fun brawl and a solid nomination. Next up we have the Tennessee Stud and the Bullet but Sullivan's gang surround the ring and the Nightmares show up to a fun little brawl and an extra. Nightmares squash Southeastern Heavyweight Title: "Exotic" Adrian Street © vs. "Hustler" Rip Rogers (10/13/86) This was so much fun to Street's antics to the finish. Maybe their should be a disc of extras based on this feud. This feud is so much fun. We get some more Sullivan greatness and more extra material. US Jr. Heavyweight Title: Roy Lee Welch © vs. Dr. Tom Prichard (10/13/86) This was a pretty good back and forth nomination that I wanted to nominate but it falls flat in spots. The rest of the disc is nothing except. Then we get promos from Bullet, Stud, & Sullivan which leads to a wild brawl. Extra material.
