Posted March 18, 201312 yr comment_5539382 This starts with Platt & Pedicino interviewing the "legendary" Burrhead Jones. Yes they called him a legend. The Wild Samoans (Sika & Kokina) vs. Lee Peak & Mike Starr (8/8/88) Squash and a promo afterwards. Next Ron West is formally introduced as the new General Manager of Continental. Then we get clips of Gilbert's foolishness which brings out Gilbert & Paul E. who call out Burrhead Jones. Burrhead of course gets his ass kicked and piledriven. Hert & Idol run them off and Hert is awesome here selling this. Then we get promos from Idol, Pez, & Burrhead. Rick Hazzard vs. Private Pyle (8/8/88) Samoans come out and attack both men until Carter & Demo made the save. Shane Douglas is out next for a promo talking about winning the tag titles with Humongous. Dr. Tom Prichard vs. Bucky Seigler (8/8/88) Doc wins fairly easily. Then we get Missy's Manor with Alan Martin along with the Samoans. Martin thinks he is hot shit now that he has a lot of money and kisses Missy with help from the Samoans. This is extra material. Idol & Willie B. Hert come out next for an angry promo about Hot Stuff's abuse of their friends. Hert is great at being pissed. "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol vs. Turbo Ted (8/8/88) Squash. Then we get a promo by Paul E. Jerry Stubbs is out next with his HAIR TRANSPLANT which looks so odd for a promo about Gilbert which brings out Ken Wayne who talks shit on Stubbs. Jerry Stubbs vs. Nightmare Freddy (8/8/88) This isn't the Nightmare Freddy you know from Memphis. Just a guy in black with an old Nightmares mask on since he is Ken Wayne's partner. Stubbs wins but gets attacked afterwards with Freddy using a loaded claw hold that brought out blood from Stubbs & Davis. The next show starts with Ron West announcing that the Road to Birmingham is official on October 3rd. They pimped this tourney for 5 months. Detroit Demolition (Randy Culley) vs. Turbo Ted (8/8/88) Squash with a promo afterwards by DI Bob Carter, Demo, & Pyle. Charlie Platt then is interviewing Hot Stuff about Missy getting kissed by Alan Martin last week and Platt flat out calls Missy his wife which Gilbert doesn't care about since Alan is his friend. Nice to see Eddie cuckholding here. Platt is amazed by this then Missy comes out and says that if Gilbert won't do nothing then she will find someone that will. Next we get a promo by Hert & Idol. Handicap Match for the Continental Tag Titles: Shane Douglas © vs. The Wild Samoans (Sika & Kokina) (8/8/88) Humongous was nowhere to be found so Douglas said that he would go alone against the Samoans because he will not forfeit the titles. Douglas puts up a fight early before being tossed to the floor where the Honor Guard attacks him out of nowhere and posts him. Douglas is now bloody and getting destroyed by the Samoans with Platt & Pedicino screaming at Alan Martin for not pinning him already. Humongous shows up with a hood on his head but not the mask and he brawls with the Samoans before they overtake him. Dr. Tom runs out and throws Humongous the hockey mask and he uses loads of headbutts to send the Samoans reeling. The Honor Guard then ran back out and this was a wild brawl. Extra material. Ron West comes out and announces that he is firing Hot Stuff & Paul E. but Willie B. Hert runs out and demands that he get a couple of more weeks to take care of Gilbert himself. West gives him the two weeks he wants. This is good stuff. "Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony vs. Lee Peak (8/8/88) Squash. Idol is out next holding some barbed wire for a promo about his upcoming match with Gilbert. The New Nightmares (Ken Wayne & Nightmare Freddy) vs. Rick Hazzard & Mike Starr (8/8/88) Easy win for the heels and a promo by Paul E. Later. "Nightmare" Danny Davis vs. Bucky Seigler (8/8/88) New Nightmares attack Davis here until Mr. Olympia makes the save. The heels though would tie Olympia's mask to the ropes and then put the loaded claw on Davis' throat trying to injure him until the faces make the save. Davis foams from the mouth here.
