Posted March 20, 201312 yr comment_5539514 "Superstar" Bill Dundee vs. JD Wolfe (4/3/88) This was a Memphis style squash match full of schtick. Next we get clips of a Hector Guerrero/Danny Davis match with Hector narrating. Moondog Spot vs. Starfighter #2 (4/3/88) Squash. Next we get clips of Stomper/Furnas with Landell on commentary. Landell & Ron Wright were awesome in this group on promos talking about wrestlers cussing and having to make them repent. Solie would then show film of Furnas pinning Landell which pissed him off. The Bullet leads out The Party Patrol for a promo talking about the Cyclone Stampede. Scott Armstrong & Mike Davis come out for a coin toss for the TV version of the Stampede match and Armstrong wins so the faces draw first. Cyclone Stampede (4/3/88) Scott Armstrong & Shogun started out and there was a new man every 60 seconds. Armstrong was the only babyface fighting off 4 heels (RPMS, Shogun, & Sexton) before the Rich's would come out. Armstrong would eliminate Shogun & Sexton himself before getting eliminated just in time for the Rich's to start coming out. The crowd was very hot for this as it was basically a Texas Tornado Elimination match. Davey would eliminate both RPM's with help of Johnny who was on the floor. This was the best match on USA TV so far but not enough for a nomination. The Party Patrol, Sexton, & RPM's would talk shit on each other before going back into the ring for another wild brawl to close the show. The next show starts with a promo by Nelson Royal about defending his Jr. title. "Wildcat" Wendell Cooley vs. The Superstar (4/24/88) Cooley has left Continental and come to work for the opposition. Superstar gets some offense in here and works over Cooley's bum knee but Cooley still wins. Then we get a promo from Ron Wright and all the heels. Hector Guerrero vs. Tommy Angel (4/24/88) Angel puts up a fight here and this is a competitive squash. Next we get a promo from Buddy & Hector afterwards. Landell ripping the Tennessee Vols coaches was great. Gordon interviews promoter Bob Polk next about USA going on tour. Then we get a personality profile on Ron Wright and this is great with clips of a Cyclone Stampede from Knoxville. Mongolian Stomper vs. Bob Emory (4/24/88) Squash. Next we get a promo from Cooley & Party Patrol. "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell vs. Larry Stevens (4/24/88) Landell is now without his black glove but then puts it on after getting into the ring. Stevens gets an inside cradle right at the start and almost gets the pin with Buddy's face being in complete shock. Stevens then almost gets him again and Landell is gobsmacked. Landell eventually takes over and this becomes like an MX epic squash. Then we get a promo from Bullet, Junior, & Furnas.
