Indian Strap/Texas Bullrope Match: "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes & Chief Wahoo McDaniel vs. Tully Blanchard & "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (4/8/86)

Man this looks awesome on paper and is a dark match from a TV taping in Spartanburg. This is JIP a little but it looks like we didn't miss much as the Horsemen are ambushing the faces. Dusty juices quickly from the cowbell before Flair gets locked in with him and Tully is locked in with Wahoo who is also juicing from the strap. Wahoo is bleeding like a motherfucker here with puddles forming where he lays. Tully & Flair are kicking ass here but you can't keep the faces down as they make spirited comebacks and use their weapons of choice to get their pound of flesh. Flair & Tully are now juicing as well and this is a total war. Roughhouse Fargo is the referee here and this is a match that he would be proud of. I love Dusty using the cowbell on Flair's leg while Tully uses the strap to send Wahoo into the ringpost head first. Dusty would get the figure-four on Flair as Wahoo just chopped the shit out of Tully but a kick to the balls would allow Tully to climb up top where Wahoo would coldcock him with the cowbell to get the win. Dillon comes in and he gets smashed with the cowbell too and openly blades. This was a fucking awesome match and a slam dunk nomination.
