Posted April 10, 201312 yr comment_5541734 The VQ throughout is back and forth. This starts with a promo from Killer Karl Kox wearing a NWA trucker hat which is awesome. Southeastern TV Title: Troy T. Tyler © vs. The Seraph (3/29/80) Seraph is a masked dude. Dutch does commentary here and says that Troy & Dusty Rhodes are brothers. Troy unmasks Seraph revealing The Angel aka Frank Morrell. Bob Polk comes out and says that since Angel was Seraph that he would be suspended. Next we get promos from The Matador, Ron Slinker, & Steve Travis about The Great Mephisto who cuts a promo in retort. Then we get clips of Rich vs. Idol from TBS featuring the angle where Harley Race broke Rich's leg. Rich cuts a taped promo afterwards. Next we get a promo from Troy T. Tyler. Ole Anderson vs. John Irving (3/29/80) Squash and a promo afterwards about Killer Karl Kox with video from Knoxville. Then we get clips of Don Diamond vs. Rick Oliver from Florida and a promo to follow. The Manchurians (Tapu & Tio) vs. Mark Hill & Rex Stone (3/29/80) Hill's white boy afro is great. Total squash before Matador & Slinker come in after the match for a brawl. Next we get a promo from Mephisto & Manchurians. Then we get an episode of ICW from the same day. Ron Slinker vs. Terry Taylor (3/22/80) Taylor is basically a jobber here but he is getting that young lion rep and hangs with Slinker before losing. Total babyface match. Next we get a promo from Killer Karl Kox about Ole beating his referee friend. Then we get promos from Kox & Tyler. The Manchurians (Tapu & Tio) vs. The Matador (Jerry Stubbs) & Jerry Roberts (Jacques Rougeau) (3/22/80) Matador attacks Mephisto at the bell as Mephisto burned him a while back. Manchurians dominate to start but the faces fight back and the crowd is hot for this. Manchurians would then work over Roberts putting him out with a nerve hold but Matador attacks them afterwards then Mephisto before being triple teamed and whipped by Mephisto's belt. Slinker comes out and fights them off as fans are trying to help release Matador. Mephisto then throws fire in Slinker's face as all of this is going on. This was good stuff. Next we get promos from Mephisto & Matador. Stan Hansen is out next where they showed film of the Ole/Kox match where the referee got assaulted by Ole becuase he was helping Kox. Stan "The Lariat" Hansen vs. The Seraph (3/22/80) Kox comes out and puts on Hansen's hat while he does commentary before tearing it up. Hansen then leaves the ring and brawls with Kox who runs off. Troy T. Tyler cuts a promo before his match and all of his promos here are good. Southeastern TV Title: Dirty Dutch Mantell © vs. Troy T. Tyler (3/22/80) Fun TV match here with both men dishing it out to each other. We would get a ref bump and double collision that went nowhere because everyone popped back up quickly. Dutch at one point would jump from the ring to the floor to go after Troy who was stalling on the floor and he cleared the ring with ease. We would get another ref bump before a very young Brett Sawyer would make the 3 count as Scrappy McGowan was on the floor. Dutch would post Troy after the match bringing out the juice before Troy grabbed his bullrope and sent Dutch packing. Then we get a promo from Hansen about his upcoming match with Harley Race. Matador comes out to close the show talking about Slinker going to the hospital after getting burned. Hansen then comes out vowing revenge on Kox. Next we get an episode of Mid-Atlantic from that day. Rufus R. Jones & SD Jones vs. Swede Hanson & Tony Russo (4/9/80) This wasn't very pretty. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. The Scorpion (4/9/80) Easy win for Flair and his boots here are phenomenal. They look like a checkerboard.
