Posted April 10, 201312 yr comment_5541764 Rufus R. Jones & SD Jones vs. Swede Hanson & Tony Russo (4/9/80) This wasn't very pretty. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. The Scorpion (4/9/80) Easy win for Flair and his boots here are phenomenal. They look like a checkerboard. Then we get a promo from the Masked Superstars. Ray "The Crippler" Stevens & Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Matt Borne & Abe Jacobs (4/9/80) Stevens & Valentine were a good team. Then we get a promo from Flair who thanks the fans for being with him. Don Diamond vs. Rick Connors (4/5/80) Fairly easy win for Diamond. Then we get a promo from Dutch. Next we get promos from Matador, Steve Travis, & Troy T. Tyler. Then we get proms from Diamond & Ron Slinker. Southeastern Tag Titles & Great Mephisto's Hair vs. Tyler's hair & Matador's mask: The Manchurians © vs. The Matador (Jerry Stubbs) & Troy T. Tyler (4/5/80) Tyler starts out strong working over both Manchurians before he is thrown to the floor and posted. Tyler juices but fights back making the hot tag to Matador who runs wild on them before the numbers game catches up to him. Tyler saves him from being pinned numerous times then goes for a tag but Tyler is down on the floor working over Mephisto. Tyler is brawling on the floor with Matador being pissed at him then he comes back and Matador attacks him leaving him for dead with the Manchurians getting the pin. Matador turns heel and a bloody Tyler shaves his bloody hair after cutting a great promo. Definite extra and Les Thatcher is really good in his role during this as well. Tyler then cuts a promo for house shows bald and bloody. Bobby Eaton vs. The Beast (4/5/80) So odd seeing Eaton wearing short tights and working babyface. Tyler is back out for another promo this time with a towel over his head. Then we get a personality profile with Harley Race talking about his match with Tommy Rich the night before in Knoxville and the alliance with Austin Idol. Then we get a promo from Idol to boot. Matador then cuts a promo talking about how Tyler left him getting beaten and Tyler is stupid for crossing him. Les Thatcher then interviews Brett Sawyer about his conflict with Dutch Mantell who comes out starting a brawl before being run off or so it seemed as Dutch attacked again this time being Don Fulton also known as Eric Embry who would eat a brainbuster from Killer Karl Kox and this brought out ole Anderson to send them packing. Killer Karl Kox vs. Terry Taylor (4/5/80) Kox would go for a brainbuster early which brought Ole Anderson back out for a brawl and the match is thrown out. Next we get a promo by Mephisto. The next show starts with Matador coming out talking about the previous week's angle with Tyler coming out for a brawl. Tyler goes for the mask but Dutch runs out and attacks him where they injure his left arm until Don Diamond makes the save. Dutch wants his TV title match against Tyler regardless but Diamond said that he would defend the title for him. Southeastern TV Title: Don Diamond © vs. Dirty Dutch Mantell (4/12/80) Diamond starts out strong before Dutch comes back and takes it to him but Diamond comes back as he locks on a sleeper hold. Matador comes back out and we get a DQ with the heels doubling up on Diamond before Troy runs out with his bullrope clearing the ring. Fun segment. Then we get a taped promo with Dutch & Matador who talked about forming a union together. They show a family photo of the Tyler family and it is a picture of a monkey. Next we get another recap of the Rich/Race/Idol conflict and clips of an Idol/Kevin Sullivan cage match from Columbus. Then we get promos from Tyler & Diamond. Ron Slinker vs. Don Fulton (Eric Embry) (4/12/80) I'm guessing that at one point Embry teamed with Bobby Fulton as brothers but it's fun seeing Embry with his brown curly hair. Next we get a promo by Mephisto. Then we get a promo by Ole. Terry Taylor vs. Ron Sexton (4/12/80) Competitive match and Taylor is rising up the charts. Ole Anderson vs. The Beast (4/12/80) The picture goes out here. The next show starts up with Dutch coming out saying that he didn't intentionally injure Steve Travis the week before. Randy the Mountaineer vs. Rick Connors (4/26/80) The disc runs out.
