Cadillac Cup - Finals: "Boogie Woogie Man" Jimmy Valiant vs. Jesse "The Body" Ventura (3/7/82)

This is from Toronto and a rare matchup for sure. Clipped up and not very good.

Next we get Hogan/Bock from Super Sunday.

US Heavyweight Title: "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka © vs. "King Kong" Angelo Mosca (3/30/80)

Dewey Robertson is with Mosca to offset Gene Anderson and Mosca is actually replacing Dewey in the match here because he is injured. Mosca is tired of Snuka's stalling so he jumps him on the stage and brings him into the ring. Mosca really works over Snuka's head here with lifting front chancery and a cranking headlock while Snuka's selling and bumping around keeps the crowd in the match. Snuka fires back working over Mosca's back with mainly his knees then uses headbutts with Mosca selling wildly. Snuka would miss a huge somersault senton off the top rope giving Mosca the chance he needed and he works over Snuka's back hitting an atomic drop with Snuka's selling making Rick Rude proud. Mosca would hit a Canadian Stampede but Gene would pull Snuka's legs to break up the count so Mosca comes back with a Canadian Backbreaker and Gene comes in using his cane for the DQ. This leads to a 4-way brawl afterwards and the crowd going nuts. Fun for what it was.

Then we get a Dino Bravo bodyslam challenge with Blackwell from Winnipeg.

Next we get a promo from Flair after getting his nose broken by Greg Valentine with clips of the Flair/Valentine vs. Sheik/Snuka match from Greensboro on 6/8/80. This is a tremendous promo with Flair saying "THEY ARE MAKING FUN OF ME" as he gets his nose broken and this a slam dunk extra. (6/12/80)

Greg Valentine comes out in a tuxedo with women by his side celebrating his win over Ric Flair for the US Heavyweight Title in Charlotte on 7/26/80. Flair would of course come out and destroyed Valentine ripping his clothes off in a total 180 from Flair & Steamboat two years earlier. Another fantastic angle and a slam dunk extra. (7/30/80.)

NWA World Tag Titles: "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka & Ray "The Crippler" Stevens © vs. Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood (8/27/80)

A very rare title match on TV and these guys are on fire here especially Snuka & Steamer. Stevens & Youngblood aren't loafing around either as they are working at a fast pace as well with the crowd loving every minute of this match. Both teams trade the advantage throughout here so you don't get any long sections and the match is really flowing. Steamboat & Youngblood hit their double team slam on Stevens for a nearfall before Snuka breaks it up then Stevens fires back with a kneebreaker. Snuka then jumps off the top rope on Youngblood's knee with Youngblood selling like he got shot with a gun. Steamer comes in and referee Stu Schwartz calls for the bell as Youngblood is too injured. The selling of this injury was very well done and the match itself was pretty damn good so I'm pushing this forward as a nomination. One of the better TV matches from JCP in this era.

Blackjack Mulligan is out next for a promo where they show clips of his match with Masked Superstar against Snuka & Stevens from 10/5/80 in Greensboro. Bobby Duncum would get involved. (10/8/80)

Then we get Tito/Blackwell from Winnipeg.

Next we get a Flair/Steamer promo from Dorton Arena in Raleigh where they kiss each other's ass. (12/23/80)

US Heavyweight Title: "Nature Boy" Ric Flair © vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine (12/23/80)

Good hard hitting action here with Valentine dictating the pace using his hard strikes but Flair comes back with his own. Valentine would control Flair using a grounded headlock mainly before Flair comes back getting a suplex but Valentine would counter a figure-four kicking Flair to the ropes where he would schoolboy him using the ropes to get the pin. The booker George Scott would come out and told Tommy Young what happened so he restarted the match with Flair locking in an inside cradle to get the pin. Roddy Piper comes out and he is pissed off at Scott saying that this wasn't right then decks him. The heels destroy the faces especially Scott until Steamer runs them off. Jim Crockett Jr. would come out afterwards and suspended Piper & Valentine. This wasn't a real long match but still a good one nonetheless plus you have the very hot post match angle and this moves forward as a nomination.
