November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638626 Is this a sign that RF is running out of people to interview? Outside of his response to Doug Gilbert's accusation of him smoking crack in the control room, what's the appeal here?
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638629 A ton of behind the scenes Memphis stories? Randy Hales was around there for 10+ years, helped book and run the territory.
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638639 Just a question - who would you guys want to get for the remaining WWF KC timelines? For 1982 I'm not sure who you get. There doesn't seem to be anyone other than Bob Backund around for the whole year. Tony Atlas seems to be around for the first half of the year only and I'm not sure Bob would do a timeline. Any ideas? For 1990 you have a problem where virtually all of the major players are either Hogan or dead. For guys who have never done a timeline Dusty would be a great choice but seems unlikely. I'll go with either Ted Dibiase or Tito Santana. For 1991 Sgt. Slaughter seems a no brainer. For 1996 - My first thought was Vader but given how lousy his WCW one was, no thanks. Sunny maybe? You're not gonna get Austin, HHH, Michaels, Foley or anyone on that level. Ahmed Johnson, but he took the last four months of the year off. If Dustin wasn't in WWE today, I'd say Goldust.
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638640 For 82 you could get Barry Hart (Horowitz), or maybe one of the underneath guys like Rivera or Estrada. Snuka was around all year but I don't think he's mentally capable of doing one of these. Could also use Putski if he's in good health. What about Warlord or Barbarian for 1990? You could always get Bushwhacker Luke to do 90 or 91 too. 1996 you have a lot of choices: Holly, Aldo, Gunns, Godwins, AL Snow. I find that the guys who weren't necessarily "top guys" are better in these.
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638647 The Randy Hales shoot looks awesome. What are you talking about?
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638656 I guess someone who was high up enough (at least mid card) strikes me as essential for a year filled with politics like 96 but I guess that's unfair, someone low on the totem pole might have a different perspective and actually have more knowledge.

November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638680 It seemed like Jake Roberts was going to do one for '91. He would have been a perfect choice.
November 8, 201410 yr comment_5638690 KC wanted Backlund for 1981, but they couldn't come to terms on a price tag. Too bad too, I would have loved hearing about the famous Valentine match where Greg was announced as new champ. I guess we can hold out hope for Bob for 1982, because I have no idea who else they can get besides Snuka, and that would be a trainwreck. Maybe Afa and/or Sika?

Ugh, I will always say that's the worst ending in pro wrestling history, just above the Sting/Hogan Starcade 97 one.
November 13, 201410 yr comment_5639581 There is nobody that understands wrestling more while at the same time completely missing the point than Al Snow.

I enjoyed both his shoot interview and the Enhancement Talent Round Table that he was part of, but can't see KC going for him. I have little doubt he'd do a far better job, and be a better interview, than Snuka and Putski.

November 25, 201410 yr comment_5641747 I'm a bit more than halfway through the first edition of Back to Territories, and this first one is a winner. Corny and Duggan discuss the various names and faces associated with the territory, and talk about the horrendous road trips and crazed fans, along with plenty of good stories, and little cutaways for Cornette to discus the history of the promotion. But, I have to wonder how it's going to work for future editions though, when it's a territory that JC hasn't worked in, and, thus, won't have anything to really add to the mix.
November 28, 201410 yr comment_5642367 It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but the "Poppin' Dogs and Talkin' Hogs with the Best Friends" series feels like a winner to me. The first two have been fun. Not as awesome as the Kevin Steen Show was, but enjoyable.
December 19, 201410 yr comment_5646179 Watching Brickhouse Brown's first shoot right now and I am still blown away by these "I didn't know it was a work until after my first match" stories.

Hopefully they will try and get Bob for 81 but why does he want so much. I guess there is little chance of getting Hogan to do a timeline.
