Posted May 5, 201312 yr comment_5543969 This starts out in Fort Worth with Al Madril calling out Gary Hart who has Magic Dragon with him and they attack Madril with Dragon using his headscissors sleeper to put him out then Dragon superkicks David Manning in a spot that made me pop huge. Hart would subdue Dragon as Spoiler comes down with T-John Thibbedeaux to help Madril. (5/17/82) 2 out of 3 falls: The Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon vs. Ken Mantell & The Spoiler (4/26/82) Madril was supposed to be Spoiler's partner so this becomes a handicap match with Spoiler fighting valiantly but the Japanese use double teams, karate thrusts, and nerveholds to put Spoiler away to take the 1st fall. Spoiler comes back with a chair to start the next fall and Ken Mantell comes out to help him so the odds are now even. Mantell helps Spoiler but the Japanese are too tough and they win easily. Next we get the Lawler/Kaufman deal from Letterman. Dragon-Shi Match: The Great Kabuki & Magic Dragon vs. Kim Duk & The Spoiler (5/6/82) Funny seeing Kim Duk aka Tiger Chung Lee as a babyface and for that matter Spoiler as well. Dragon-Shi match is basically a match where you can use the kendo sticks and while it makes for some fun action it's not very good action. Then we get Kevin/Bundy from 5/30/82. Cowboy Scott Casey vs. Bruiser Bob Sweetan (June 1982) This was supposed to be Sweetan vs. Brody but Brody got an emergency phone call so Casey took his spot. Sweetan works over Casey to start but Scott comes back and gets a piledriver on Sweetan who gets the bottom rope to save himself. Casey then hits the Billy Robinson backbreaker for another nearfall and tried for another piledriver but Duggan runs out for the DQ. They double up on Casey with Sweetan coming off the top rope with three knees on Casey's back before the faces clear the ring. Next we get Kabuki/Dragon vs. David & Kevin from Texas Stadium on 6/6/82. Americas Heavyweight Title: "Exotic" Adrian Street © vs. The Kiss (4/2/82) Very cool to have some Los Angeles on here. Street coming out to Pomp & Circumstance (Savage's theme) is pretty awesome as well as the whole pre-match routine. Adrian is in full schtick mode to start until Kiss comes back with some atomic drops which sees Adrian put his ass in the referee's crotch to ease the pain then kissed him. Kiss throws a lot of dropkicks here and Street takes some punishment selling it nicely but we don't get a finish. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair vs. Art Crews (May 1982) This is from St. Louis with our friend Larry Matysik on commentary and it's your standard Flair TV match from the time but this has an angle attached and it's a good one. Dick the Bruiser shows up and takes Flair's robe along with the NWA title while Crews has Flair busy. Flair loved this angle at the time as he did with Dusty in Florida in a difference of a couple of weeks or so. Bruiser comes out wearing the robe carrying the belt as Flair is livid. Bruiser jumps in the ring dancing around stomping on the robe as the match continues then throws it in the crowd like Dusty did. Flair is incensed afterwards. This is a slam dunk extra. Dick the Bruiser vs. Ray Hernandez (May 1982) Here is a skinhead Hercules getting his ass kicked by Bruiser as Dick throws him on the announce table and into the wall. Dick's finisher here was standing on the second rope and dropping foot first on the chest to win. Fans loved him though. Next we get a trophy presentation with Ken Lucas & Ricky Morton for being the best tag team in Southwest so of course The Dynamic Duo shows up pissed off about this so they attack them. They bloody up Lucas by carving up his shoulder which is something the Sheik would be proud of. Lucas' arm is a bloody mess before the Duo is run off. Extra material. (June 1982) Next we get Kabuki/Madril from 8/31/82.
