I've seen the commercial for this game tons of times now since it's shown during wrestling shows. To be honest though, it doesn't look that bad. I looked up some screenshots and whatnot of the game and it looks pretty entertaining.

 

I was just wondering if anyone had played it. Is it worth giving a whirl?

I've been watching my brother-in-law play Destroy All Humans for the last couple of days and it seems like some zany fun. You can tractor beam cars while you're in the UFO and slam them into billboards, or lift up cars with your psychic powers. Just good, campy fun.

Coffey, rent it. Maybe for a weekend or so and try getting in 8 hours. That's what a friend of mine says that the playability length is. There's not enough replayability in the game to go with the purchase.

I finally got a chance to play this a little bit and, upon further review, I've got to agree with MARTYEWR's assessment. There are lots of neat things to do, but the core gameplay and mission structure isn't really that rewarding. Once the novelty of getting people to cluck like a chicken or blowing up cows wears off, you have to actually play the game, which includes stealth elements that don't really work and less than comfortable camera controls. Eight hours sounds about right.
