Yep this is Buddy right after his split with Jerry Brown as the Hollywood Blondes but still with his Blondes look. Buddy is really good here at bumping and selling which is no shock and this is a fun little match.

 

Next we get clips of Kox vs. Muraco from Orlando on 1/1/78.

 

Then we get clips of Jos LeDuc vs. Ben Alexander with Sweet Brown Sugar sitting in the crowd wearing his mask scouting.

 

Next we get an angry promo from Dusty Rhodes who is pissed at Ernie Ladd. (9/20/78)

 

Steve Keirn vs. Steve Brody (9/27/78)

 

Fairly easy win for Keirn.

 

Then we get clips of Ivan Koloff

 

"Big Bad" Bobby Duncum & Killer Karl Kox vs. Jimmy Garvin & Prince Tonga (9/20/78)

 

This is the debut of Prince Tonga aka Haku. Garvin gets his ass kicked here before Tonga comes in throwing some dropkicks but gets put away quickly by Duncum.

 

Then we get what happened with Ladd & Dusty earlier in the show as Ladd came out with a white flag before attacking Dusty who goes nuts. This is great.

 

Killer Karl Kox vs. Mike Hammer (March 1979)

 

This is JIP. Kox sitting Hammer on the ropes then giving him a brainbuster was a nice touch.

 

The Magnificent M vs. Bill Dromo (March 1979)

 

The masked Muraco calls out Steve Keirn before the match so Keirn comes out afterwards and M attacks him. The faces would run out afterwards and revealed a BALD Don Muraco who cuts a crazy promo afterwards. Very fun stuff.

 

Next we get a sitdown promo with Sonny King who is wearing an awesome cowboy hat.

 

Then we get clips of Manny winning the Florida title from Terry Funk in Orlando on 10/21/79 with promos to follow.

 

Florida Heavyweight Title: Manny Fernandez vs. Killer Khan (10/24/79)

 

Terry Funk comes out before the match and he's pissed at Manny for taking his title and saying that Dusty Rhodes was better than him. Funk of course cheapshots Manny then piledrives him but Manny makes his own comeback with Jack Brisco helping him get rid of Terry.

 

Jack Brisco vs. The Gestapo (10/24/79)

 

Easy win for Jack.

 

"Nature Boy" Stanley Lane & Bryan St. John vs. Raul Mata & Steve Travis (10/24/79)

 

Lane is still basically a rookie but is getting a push in Florida with his team with St. John. This was a competitive match.

 

Then we get clips of Lane/St. John vs. Eddie Graham/Ray Stevens where the heels won the Florida Tag Titles in Tampa on 10/30/79.

Competitive match.

 

Jos LeDuc vs. Steve Travis (10/31/79)

 

LeDuc attacks him at the bell and basically destroys him during and after the match forcing Dick Kroll to reverse the decision. LeDuc cuts a promo afterwards on Dusty.

 

Jack Brisco vs. Bill Irwin (10/31/79)

 

Jack looks good here.

 

Manny is out next and cuts a promo on Funk demanding revenge from being jumped the week before.

 

Manny Fernandez vs. Chick Donovan (10/31/79)

 

Chick isn't golden yet but gets squashed. Funk attacks Manny after the match and tries to break his leg with the spinning toehold.

 

Sweet Brown Sugar vs. The Gestapo (10/31/79)

 

Easy win for Sugar.

 

Terry Funk vs. Terry Taylor (10/31/79)

 

Taylor is very young here and he gets destroyed. Manny comes back out and is being held back by fucking Haystacks Calhoun of all people then cuts an impassioned promo as he is in tears.

 

Next we get a taped promo by Harley Race who is saying that he had nothing to do with Dusty getting his arm broken.

 

Then we get a promo by Manny on LeDuc. (11/14/79)

 

Next we get clips of Graham/Keirn vs. Hito/Sakurada from Tampa on 11/13/79.

 

Handicap Match: Super Destroyer vs. Chick Donovan & Raul Mata (11/14/79)

 

Total squash.

 

Then we get a video called Dusty Rhodes vs. The World with Solie narrating over clips of Dust against many top foes.

 

Harley Race vs. Reggie Parks (11/14/79)

 

Spotlight match for Race and Parks for that matter who really takes it to Race.

 

Jack & Jerry Brisco vs. Butch Bronson & Len Denton (May 1978)

 

Easy win for the Brisco's.

 

Then we get clips of Dusty/LeDuc in a Chain match from Tampa on 11/20/79 with Leroy Brown attacking Dusty afterwards and a promo by Leroy & Humperdink to follow with Dusty jumping over the announce desk to beat them down. This was awesome.
