I think that it'll be fun to look back and see if anyone was close.

I say Indianapolis Colts over Philadelphia in the big dance.

I'm looking to see how the Raiders and Giants do this season though. Should be interesting!

I'm going Falcons over Pats...

...what, I'm a Falcons fan. Can't I dream?

Honestly though, I think the Pats win again over Philly in Part Deux.

San Diego Chargers vs. the Philadelphia Eagles or else the Dallas Cowboys.

Deep down, I think the Patriots will return and we'll get a repeat of last year's Super Bowl with this year's. I really like the 'boys chances this season though. Bill Parcells is a great coach with good talent around him.

The Falcons Offense looks weak with no good wideouts for Vick to throw to when he needs to. Teams are starting to get the hang of containing Mike.

The Colts still have no good defense. They're our generation's Miami Dolphins. Speaking of, I think the Dolphins, running a Ricky and Brown tandem, and Gus Ferrotte throwing to David Boston like a motherfucker could end up getting the Dolphins into the playoffs. Their O-line looks better this season.

Teams like Baltimore and Minnesota look like they could go deep into the playoffs barring injuries. I also like the Chiefs chances this season. They really, really did some smart off-season buying. If they pick up a healthy Ty Law, they'll be a contender. The Jets could also do some damage in the playoffs. The only way they'll make it in though is if Pennington stays healthy. The Panthers and Jaguars could also be a force to reckon with this season if none of their high end players regress this season. The Bengals could shock a couple teams this season. The Pittsburgh Steelers will feel the sophmore QB jinx this season.

I think the Lions and the Cardinals will be really tough for some teams to play against this season. They might end up shocking some folks this year.

The Bucs and Bills defense will carry them for the season and it could just end up netting them a playoff spot.

I predict the Raiders will win a SB within in the next 3 seasons. They just need to add some fuckin defense to their sorry d-side of the ball. Please pick up Ray Lewis when his contract is open for bidding.

Peerless Price isn't a bad receiver... Vick just isn't throwing to him.

Vick's offensive problems are mainly mental, IMHO, as he wants to either run it or throw a short pass to Crumper if he's in the pocket.

One nice thing about being a Steelers fan is that because of how shitty the division is, all they gotta do is finish 8-8 or better to get a playoff spot and probably win the divison.

The Browns are locked into their vortex of suck, the Ravens don't really have much to offer, and the Bengals are the Bengals: they always find a way to fuck things up in the end.

Will Ben be as good this year? Depends. Teams have a better idea of how to play him, but now he doesn't have to worry about getting Plax enough catches to soothe his ego. Half of Ben's rookie mistake INTs came from him trying to force passes to Plax. The key for the Steelers has always been the O-line. Two years ago it was decimated from injuries and they suffered. Last year they had the same 5 guys line up for every game but the last one and went 15-1.

I don't expect them to repeat last year's record, but I think Plax leaving was addition by subtraction. He was starting to become a distraction that was affecting the team. Note to Giants fans: Plax is NOT going to get along well with the coaching staff there, lets just say he's never been one for lots of rules.

As far as Peerless Price goes...

*Number of Pass Targets*

WR Peerless Price: 95

TE Alge Crumpler: 74

WR Dez White: 50

RB Warrick Dunn: 38

WR Brian Finneran: 33

FB Justin Griffith: 31

WR Michael Jenkins: 11

RB T.J. Duckett: 3

Total: 335

Peerless Price had 28% of the targets.

Comparison

Javon Walker: 138 targets

Terrell Owens: 126 targets

Isaac Bruce: 140 targets

Torry Holt: 129 targets

Chad Johnson: 158 targets

Darrell Jackson: 148 targets

Rod Smith: 129 targets

It seems like the top WRs and teams' #1 WRs generally have 120+ targets to work with. Price had 25 fewer targets than the low estimate of 120. That means that Price could've had an additional 8-12 catches. At his 12.8 YPR, that'd bump him up to between 678 - 730 yards.

The Pats are tough to call this year.

- A new defensive coordinator along with Bill calling the offense himself.

- Bruschi is a question mark still, and who knows how long Seymour will hold out.

- Can the patchwork secondary keep up the high level of play they had last year?

- A murderous schedule on top of division rivals that are always tough.

I say they make the playoffs, but I'm saying 12 wins this year with almost every game being a struggle. I'm not 100% comfortable with calling a three-peat, but I still don't know anyone in the AFC that could take them outside of the Steelers (though there's the whole "Sophomore Jinx" thing with Ben).
