Posted May 8, 201312 yr comment_5544276 British Empire Rules Match for the Florida Heavyweight Title: Dory Funk Jr. © vs. Mike Graham (7/8/81) There are 6 rounds with each round going 7 minutes. Coach John Heath was on commentary and was solid in describing the amateur part of the match. This was a really damn good wrestling match here as both men excelled at working this style and they didn't keep it boring as they mixed a regular wrestling style match with the matwork. Terry would come out to help his brother in the 2nd round adding an extra element here. The more time that went on the more intense it got as both men were pulling out all stops here trying to win rounds especially Dory. They go to the 6th round tied up 2-2-1 and the crowd is very hot for everything going on here as Terry gets involved, Dory is juicing from the left eye, and Mike is all kinds of fired up. Dory is fully desperate here trying to stall some and pulls Mike over the top with him but no DQ was called. Terry is awesome here rooting for Dory as time ticks by and time runs out as Mike has Dory in the figure-four. Helluva match here and a very easy nomination.
