August 8, 201312 yr Author comment_5555353 Last few minutes. Nash is dominating Luger, and when Luger shows the first sign of life, all of the NWO bottom feeders enter the ring and attack him. DDP runs out to make the save but also gets attacked. Finally, The Giant is out and they tease a showdown with Nash. Again, this match wasn't even paid off until January of 1998 (planned for Starrcade, but still, they effectively created hype for this match all year). Finally, Sting shows up with three baseball bats, hands one to each of the babyfaces and after Nash takes a few shots, the heels bail. I'm really impressed so far that Nash is not playing the "cool heel" as much as people probably remember. He stooged big time for Sting here. Good segment.
August 28, 201312 yr comment_5559066 Nash looked in good shape and worked hard in the clips here. I don't know if he was extra motivated based on what was going on with Hall or what but its refreshing. I liked the NWO attacking immediately when luger showed any signs of life. DDP again gets the glory of being the first person to help the cause and he gets his ass kicked. The Giant comes out to stare down Nash. Sting walks out from the entrance with three bats that he hands to all the WCW members. Team WCW again cleans house in a cool finish. Nitro definitely won this night even though both shows look cooler than usual.
September 2, 201312 yr comment_5559956 No Hall again. NWO beats up Luger until DDP, The Giant and then Sting show up. WCW guys clear the ring with baseball bats. WCW has scored more and more victories over the year which was needed.
June 9, 201411 yr comment_5606390 The match wasn't much of anything, basically Nash beat Luger's ass until his first offensive move which launched the nWo assault. Nash vs Giant's tease. Nicely done. Yeah, you gotta love that Nash was the one who got beat up by Sting here. Good closing segment again. When you think how shitty the main event scene got by 1998, it's surreal to see how well everything flowed at this point.
September 1, 201510 yr comment_5696196 The match is whatever but not bad or anything. As soon as Lex begins his comeback he's swarmed by the NWO, as is DDP when he attempts a save. Giant is hesitant to get in with the NWO numbers and Nash holding a lead pipe, but Sting makes his way to the ring with bats for everyone. Nash, to his credit, is the one to get beat up by Sting and the NWO bails. Another strong closing segment making you want to see more. Giant vs. Nash is really a match that should have been built to from the start of the angle, and was something put on hold with Giant's ill-fated turn.
