August 11, 201312 yr Author comment_5555734 Rey does this unique entrance where he crawls on the entrance ramp then shoots spiderwebs out of his hands. This time around, Syxx is wrestling in street clothes, and both Hall and Nash are in Syxx's corner. Hall talked about how much Terry Taylor hated this recently because he thought it gave away the finish that they would get involved. Hall's argument was that the fans don't know when it will come and don't know how it will come. I love how this plays off of the previous match, as Rey takes the fight to Syxx and even gets in a shot on Nash. But Hall gets him from behind with the Razor's Edge and Syxx finishes him off with the buzzkill. JJ Dillon is out to stop this, saying if Syxx doesn't break the hold, he'll reverse the decision. Bischoff immediately follows JJ in tow and the NWO stand around Syxx while he keeps the hold on Rey. The Wolfpac tell JJ he isn't pulling the same crap he pulled for McMahon. Great segment, even if it did make JJ look completely ineffective as an authority figure.
September 6, 201312 yr comment_5560788 Did Syxx forget his wrestling gear or did they not care enough to treat this as an actual wrestling match and not an angle? Mysterio doesn't have much of a chance here as now you add Hall to the mix also. Dillon tries to intervene but Bischoff comes out and puts him in his place. Dillon did look really ineffective on what he could do as he just stood there on apron.

October 26, 201311 yr comment_5568994 I think it makes Rey look a little foolish but more courageous overall and the crowd was popping like huge when he was getting his shine in the early going. That Razor's Edge has to be one of the best ones ever done as it looked vicious. Syxx continued to be a highlight with his rant on JJ after he broke up the buzzkill.

Indeed. And really, JJ Dillon has looked like a complete fool since he debuted. I'm not sure but it may be the point where the balance of power actually got all screwed up, by giving a totally inept WCW authority figure who wasn't needed since the babyface heat was all on Sting/Luger/Giant/DDP as an offensive unit. Otherwise, this is a terrific squash, Rey Mysterio countering the bronco buster for what I think is the very first time (a defensive spot Rey would himself fall victime of a lot in the future), Nash bumping outside, and a huge Razor's Edge to kill Rey. Why does no one comes out to defend him ? He has no friends ? Syxx trolling JJ was indeed awesome, Waltman was on fire and it's a shame he got injured and fired because I enjoy heel Syxx a whole lot more than babyface X-Pac.
September 16, 201510 yr comment_5698817 Yeah, Dillon's already come off as an ineffective ninny in his few weeks on the job. That aside, this is a very well-done segment that gets a lot in a match that's about 60 seconds bell-to-bell.
