Asheville is excited to see Flair. Flair claims that he erased self doubt last night and it was the biggest thrill of his career. It's not his best promo, but he's at least not really a parody anymore. He looks like he's about to announce another big run for Hogan, but he is quickly interrupted by Syxx.

 

Flair takes off his jacket when Syxx gets in his face. Syxx talks about how he dominated Flair last night and he proved that he can take him. He challenges him to a match right here and now in the ring. Flair calls him a fly in the ointment and they get into a fight that spills over to the broadcast booth. Flair seems to be embracing this feud a little bit more now.

I'm with you Loss, these two should have had a singles match on PPV. If Nash worked like he did in the Slamboree six man, a Flair/Nash singles match may have been okay as well.

They did have one at Road Wild. I don't remember it being anything special, but I did like that Flair pinned Syxx with his feet on the ropes.

Flair has had to have bigger thrill’s in his life than that tag match but after his return to the ring he seems happy to be back. Syxx confronts Flair to challenge him to a one on one match. Syxx takes off while Flair chases him for a few.

This could have been a really good feud if fleshed out. Waltman still was in good form here and Flair has been punchy to me. I liked this pull apart and it helps that it happened in North Carolina with Flair getting teh great reaction.

Syxx is a great troll. He's in his deep 2-Pac fetish phase too.

A pretty good segment that hints at a promising feud to come, that we never really get. Some subtle touches that I like--Syxx *did* have the upper hand on Flair the previous night, one of the only long sustained runs of offense the NWO had. Flair: "You, my friend, are a fly in the ointment--and I'm gonna kick your flyweight ass!" They have a quick pull-apart and Syxx runs off.
