August 24, 201312 yr Author comment_5558261 Curt Hennig is interviewed by Gene about his reasons for being in WCW and immediately heels on the Memphis crowd. I'm already tired of him. He promises that he will have a role at Bash at the Beach. Gene suspects that he'll team with DDP against Randy Savage and Hall. Hennig says not to jump to conclusions and says he's a free agent. Ric Flair comes out and seems happy that Hennig is here and thinks it only makes sense for him to join the Horsemen. Hennig won't commit, but Flair puts the pressure on and starts flailing around.
September 15, 201312 yr comment_5562898 Curt Hennig claims to be a free agent which should have keyed WCW to not trust him. Flair tries to make a quick pitch to Hennig to join the Horsemen.
November 16, 201311 yr comment_5572923 Hennig presents himself as a hot free agent. Hennig has always been able to play this kind of tweener role well I think but I guess he athletic ability couldn't really match up. Flair getting rejected makes him look a little weak.
June 25, 201411 yr comment_5609507 I'm actually kinda shocked they didn't play on the old Flair vs Hennig feud from WWF right away. Hennig looks kinda fat. He doesn't get a superstar reaction but it's still better than Jarrett's debut. I'm mentionning Jarrett because it's kinda like the same angle in reverse, with Hennig denying the place Flair offers him in the Horsemen.
November 8, 20159 yr comment_5709079 Hennig at least has some history in this building, though I'm guessing a majority of this crowd wouldn't be aware of it. Okerlund flat-out says that Hennig will be DDP's partner, and despite Hennig's denials that's not really an effective way of building a surprise. Ric and an escort come out and try to entice Hennig into joining the Horsemen by taking a page out of the Rick Pitino recruiting handbook.
