WCW - the promotion that could have had amazing undercards on every show.

This is the opener to Bash at the Beach and a fun, high impact tag team match, with actual double teams from both teams. Cat doesn't know how to run the ropes but that's pretty much the only big negative for this solid match.

Definitely a solid match. Much better than I expected it to be. I still think this whole Blood Runs Cold division was a great idea that just needed more support and focus. Lots of offense innovation, but in a way that made sense, was sold properly and popped the crowd. Just a terrific show opener - one I'd even consider for that spot on my all-time card. Vandenberg should have still been selling the kick instead of cutting the promo after the match though.

Interesting choice to open the PPV. Superkick to chair in front of Glacier’s face looked vicious. I’m wondering why Wrath is attempting a reverse Boston crab but there’s Mortis coming off the ropes with a leg drop. Cat throwing some big kicks! I don’t love it as much as you guys but it was some good fun. Again, credit to WCW for putting out match ups like this on undercard.

One awkward kick by Glacier but the rest was about as good as an opener as you could ask for. Miller looked good in his debut. Mortis was feeding both him and Glacier and went full force into all of their offense. Wrath was teh big standout as I have never seen him look anywhere near this good. The charishot on the post to Glacier was disgusting and he takes his first loss here. Fun ass match

Can't add much to what has been said already. Hot opener with nice double team wrestling, which is refreshing considering the division was dead at this point. I also like the Blood Runs Cold division once it got off the ground. Also, WCW's production also gets trashed for good reasons, but they came out with really good themes and entrance for Mortis & Wrath, I wonder why they didn't always put that kind of effort, it would have changed a lot for perceptions of a number of guys. Too bad Wrath didn't keep that look, it was much better than reverting back to Adam Bomb-like singlet and colors in 1999.

The Mortis theme! Probably the best WCW theme ever. This was awesome, with energy from all four guys and some really cool offense from the Cat. I agree that this division could have gotten over as a third element of the cards to go along with the cruiserweights as an attraction and point of difference from the WWF. Jokes about the endless promos aside, matches like this show that it *could* have gotten over with crowds. I'd love to know who laid this match out, because they deserved a bonus.

On paper I'd have never picked this out as a top 100 US match of the 90's. It was the opening contest of the evening and the fans were bursting with excitement. Some seriously funky entrance gear on display. I love Mortal Kombat. This match is brilliantly layed out, having structure whilst feeling open ended. It protected Miller and let everyone shine. The compact duration was spot on. Even the heel chicanery for the finish was well executed. A very pleasant surprise.
