He just needs to seem sincere, and he does. Konnan kicks his crutches away before other Psicosis, La Parka and the Villanos make the save. Lucha guys vs NWO seems like a weird missed opportunity in some ways, even if the lucha guys got squashed.

Konnan is so unlikeable. The luchadores make the save for Mysterio.

Mysterio's promo was timid but kind of worked. KOnnan is able to look like a bully which is effective for him. Luchadores making the save for Rey was a cool moment since it has been engrained that Konnan gave them all a chance in WCW.

Reading this it makes we wonder why they never did a latino section of the nWo. The could have Konnan recruited three of the more noteworthy rudos (like Psicosis) and have them feud with Rey and a bunch of tecnicos.

Konnan was more effective as a spokesman and an angle-only worker than he was in the ring. Yeah, too bad it didn't lead to the luchadors not getting better used. I didn't remember Rey had been hurt in 97 too. He was out every year in WCW with a knee injury, no wonder he's in the shape he is now.

There are worse Rey promos out there. The splintering of the NWO continues, as Konnan despite claiming to be a Wolfpack member is sort of in his own world.
