JJ asks Sting to come out. He has an NWO match for him and a brand new contract! It takes him forever to get to the ring and Gene does a fine job of filling time. I refuse to believe JJ's office was flooded with telegrams in 1997. JJ offers Sting a match with Syxx and Sting rips up the contract. Poor JJ thought that would be sufficient. In an awesome moment, the crowd starts chanting Hogan's name, but JJ still has to sell not quite knowing.

Maybe he thought "Hogan? Really? Hogan? You dont wanna face Hogan yet..."OK, here...how about Norton...how's that sound? Its my final offer!"

Its amazing looking back that they still held that out until December for the match....I would say that wouldnt happen today.....I know Rock and Cena kind of did it, but Rock was gone for a large part of it and not showing up each week...

JJ Dillon looks like a clueless idiot again, to the point even the announcers point it out. To me they and the great crowd reaction is what make this segment somewhat fun, because the Dillon character is really weak and makes WCW authority look stupid.
