Eaton and Lane's best matches were against the Fantastics in 1988. Fantastics have the benefit of being together from 1984-2004 (with some time off) while Eaton/Lane have 4/87-10/90.

 

I really wish there was a Fantastics vs. Nikita/other mediocre heel match as Eaton/Lane do a fine job working with Dusty/Nikita in late 87 (and face Nikita makes me hate wrestling where as heel Nikita makes me love wrestling).

 

Eaton/Lane win but I'm not happy with it.

I'm going the opposite route. Any team that can get me to watch a Sheepherders match and stay in it and have great matches with the MX and go to Japan and have great matches there deserves the nod. Also, everytime the Fantastics went to a new territory, they were forced to follow the Rock N Roll Express and each time they made a success out of it.

I actually want to vote for the Midnight Express, and I probably would have had they jumped to AJPW in late 1990 intact, just because they could have had great matches with everyone there. That's the deal breaker for me, as all other things appear to be perfectly even.

If Eaton and Lane had spent more time together, or hadn't been shit-on throughout 1989 and 1990, I could see them going higher.

 

 

The trio of Eaton, Lane, and Condrey, though, would beat out the Fantastics.
