September 7, 201312 yr Author comment_5561032 Last few minutes. Not good, obviously. Mongo is supposed to be selling a knee injury from Hennig's attack and isn't doing that at all. Hennig wins the U.S. title.
September 9, 201312 yr comment_5561391 Since this was Charlotte, the Horsemen just have to be beaten and humiliated.
September 23, 201311 yr comment_5564356 Over the top bumping by Curt. He still ends up winning the US title. It was on Mongo? I've always felt that you needed to have a balance between your top champion and secondary belt holder. At least one of them needs to be strong in the ring. Hogan on top, you need a good technical guy with the US Title. At this point I'm not saying it should be Curt.
March 9, 201411 yr comment_5592796 Mongo sells the leg when he walks but then keeps doing power moves and deadlifting Curt. The announcers have no idea how to play this off. Hennig avoids a football charge and hits the perfect plex to win the US belt clean as a sheet. Big night for him.
September 3, 201411 yr comment_5622560 Mongo got the belt off Jarrett which was a dumb move, Jarrett + Debra were the perfect act for this title. Terrible match, neither look any good. Hennig's bumping looks awkward and he's obviously past his physical prime. Hennig pinnig Mongo clean, with no sign of Benoit or any other WCW guy, was just another sign the nWo was just washing over WCW at this point. The booking of the nWo is very clearly going haywire now.
January 30, 20169 yr comment_5724519 Yeah, this blew. Hennig tries but just doesn't have it anymore--even his trademark get-thrown-by-the-hair-and-slide-into-the-post bump just looks bad. The Hennig of 1991 may have been able to drag a decent match out of Mongo, but it's 6 years too late for that now.
