Jim Ross subtly buries Bret on commentary, pointing out that his critics say he is "too predictable". Shawn superkicks Bret after a distraction from Chyna and Hunter wins by countout.

Michaels does his obnoxious crotch chopping to the fans as he walks down the ramp to the ring. He takes things a bit further by picking his nose with the Canadian flag. I just don’t see how you can have the top two heels feuding with each other right now. Good point on the Ross “too predictable” comment on Bret. Hart is being so undermined.

Really feels like this is the first night of DX that we are familiar with Shawn crotch chopping and saying suck it on his way to the ring. Ross and Lawler's interactions are getting better with king talking about how funny Shawn picking his nose was and Ross saying it wasn't that funny. Shawn superkicks Bret getting the first big shot in on the road to Survivor Series.

Not much of a match and the crowd doesn't seem to really know how to react. Once again the Harts get booked like ineffective idiots as Owen, Bulldog, and Neidhart can't prevent Chyna and Michaels from costing Bret the match by countout. A fitting end to one of the most depressing episodes of Raw ever.

Ok match. HHH is still very basic with almost no charisma to make things interesting. I'd say he & Rock were on the same level in-ring during this period. Shawn individually tellings fans to "suck it" down the aisle is funny. He then sticks Bret's Canadian flag up his nose. Good lord. In a hilarious booking decision, HHH beats Bret by count-out. Chyna attacks Bret & he stops her from hitting him again. Chyna calls the next spot to Bret pretty clearly & he turns around into a superkick from Shawn. Count-out win for Helmsley. The HF check on Bret as DX celebrates like jackasses to close. I hate DX so much.
