Sit-down interview with Jeff Jarrett. He laments the Double J character and feels like he succeeded in the WWF in spite of Vince, not because of his help. He talks about how when he was in WCW, he had no opportunity at all because he wasn't one of Bischoff's boys. He has nothing against the WCW top guys, but he and Shawn Michaels could steal the show no matter who else was on the card. He feels like the biggest difference between the WWF and WCW is the match quality, focus on youth and better house shows. Make your own jokes.

Jeff says he lacked the "stroke" to be one of Bischoff's boys. Oh, wow. After eviscerating everyone on the roster the previous week, now Jarrett is playing a humble quasi-babyface. Then when he started wrestling, he was basically Double J again without the country gimmick. No one seemed to know what they wanted Jarrett to be in this role.

This would have been fine if it wasn't for the over the top shoot promo the week before where Jarrett came off like a whiny asshole. This gets into hilarious territory when Jarrett says the WWF focuses more on in-ring than WCW. I love the WWF, but come on. This is very well produced, but I don't have much else to say. This Jarrett push (which lasts maybe a month anyways) is destined to fail.

Jeff's promos are so dry.  He's probably the least interesting character on the two shows at this time.  WWF, of course, is using his jump back to WWF to control the narrative of how great they are.  Between this and the Jim Cornette interviews the WWF comes across pretty lame trying to tell the fans how to think and what to enjoy...
