September 18, 201312 yr Author comment_5563399 Last few minutes. Here they are, the most over tag team of the year ahead. Slow motion action and not much heat. Billy Gunn pins Animal after a ref bump and chair shot and the New Age Outlaws win the tag titles for the first time.
October 2, 201311 yr comment_5565638 The Outlaws rise surprised me with them having a bad feud with each other months previously. Honky was even managing Gunn at the time. LOD didn't get much a run with the tag titles but they were really feeling quite stale.
October 2, 201311 yr comment_5565660 I was kind of surprised the LOD didn't jump to WCW in the wake of the Harts, Rude and Crush. They seemed to have no love for Vince (and vice-versa), were established enough names that Bisch might have given them fat paychecks and a jump may have made them fresh again.
June 29, 201411 yr comment_5610036 the NAO have their theme music and are starting to get their theme down but are not named as such yet. Action was not very inspiring and they leave the arena immediately.
March 11, 20169 yr comment_5732848 Okay-ish action but not a high point for LOD even in '97. Gunn and Road Dogg, still nameless as a team, steal the tag titles and for the past few weeks it's felt like 1998 is already here, so to speak.
May 27, 20178 yr comment_5802121 Not a bad match. I liked this way better than the Godwinns title switch. Road Dogg & Gunn bump well for the Roadies & we have a fun hot tag sequence too. Road Dogg whacks Animal with a chair & Billy pins him to win the titles. The Outlaws run after the bell & leave the building. It'll be interesting to watch the Outlaws get more over in the next few months.
