September 21, 201312 yr Author comment_5564114 The New Age Outlaws gloat about their recent attacks on Dude Love before the Dude interrupts on the Titantron. Dude says he's going to let another friend handle them, one that has no mercy. Mankind is grateful for this, but has an even better idea - Cactus Jack. This is a cool video where he keeps morphing into his different personae. Cactus announces that he has help from his friend Chainsaw Charlie. Cactus finally comes out and the NAO attack him, but he catches both in a mandible claw. They have a decent match for a few minutes - is it Cactus vs Road Dogg? I can't figure this out - before the referee finally loses control and throws the match out. Cactus wants the NAO to come to the back and fight him. They follow his lead when suddenly a chainsaw sticks out of the piece of wood that has been on the stage all night. Out of it comes Chainsaw Charlie, which is Terry Funk with pantyhose on his head. The NAO run in fear and I think I would too. A new tag team is born.
October 4, 201311 yr comment_5566138 Outlaws trying to get the cheap heat by wearing Rangers jerseys. Another video segment with Foley's various identities. There is a wooden block up by the stage we briefly see. I wish it was just Terry Funk and not him wearing pantyhose over his face. Charlie launches his chainsaw after the Outlaws.
October 29, 201311 yr comment_5569460 You had some fans chanting 'Funk' so the pantyhose wasn't a great disguise. Whoever thought that Leatherface would get his gimmick ripped off by a legend like Terry Funk?
July 7, 201411 yr comment_5611524 The promo segueing from Dude to Mankind to Cactus was good and evoked the MSG one. He comes out and essentially has a handicapped match with the outlaws until his buddy Chainsaw Charlie emerges to help him out. Good tag team feud is brewing here.
March 29, 20169 yr comment_5735995 I'm not even sure what match this was, apparently Cactus vs. Road Dogg one-on-one. We get the infamous debut of Chainsaw Charlie and really, as far as WWF makeovers go, this ranks pretty low on the atrocity list in my book. Maybe it's because of how we've seen how well-done a Leatherface gimmick can be, maybe it's because of Funk's panache, maybe it's because he fits so well with Cactus, but this works.
May 28, 20178 yr comment_5802246 Great segment. The NAO come out & brag about beating up Foley over the last few weeks. They show clips of them brutalizing him & laugh about it. Dude Love comes up on the tron & says he's not mean enough to fight them. He morphs into Mankind who says his heart is frozen from being stuck in a freezer last week! He invites his buddy Cactus Jack to take the challenge & Cactus comes on the screen! Cactus cuts a promo & comes out with a barbed wire baseball bat. He brawls with the NAO in & around the ring. He takes another violent chairshot to the head during all of this. A match begins between him & Road Dogg. Cactus gets the advantage & hits the double arm DDT, but Gunn breaks up the pin for the DQ. JR & King rightfully question why that resulted in a DQ but not the use of a barbed wire bat or chair. Cactus escapes & goads the NAO to follow him up the ramp. Cactus throws Road Dogg into the wooden box that's been a mystery at the entrance all night & suddenly the noise of a chainsaw is heard. Chainsaw Charlie cuts a door out of the box & chases the NAO around with his chainsaw! Classic segment & a really fun one at that. Chainsaw Charlie is an absurd gimmick, but Terry Funk is about the only person who could make it work.
