The matwork early was very strong like the week before as they were great at keeping everything moving along with no real slow spots. Cota hit a nice belly to belly throw for a nearfall before a swanky victory roll to take the 1st fall. Cota came back in the 2nd fall using more impact offense working over Rocca's neck viciously eventually getting him in a Reinera to take the fall. The 3rd fall started as a complete contrast to the last two as both men were working at a fast pace and it ended very quickly as well as Rocca got Cota in an O'Connor Roll but Cota pulled his shoulders down with his arms and Rocca got counted out. The last fall was extremely short but the finish was kinda cool and the rest of the match was solid as well. I prefer the week previous over this one but this is still a pretty damn solid match and an easy nomination.
August 13, 201312 yr comment_5556085 Awesome start with the matwork, Cota's arms looking like they will snap at the shoulder and Roca rubbing Cota's face to show him up. Man, Rocca is tearing that arm apart. Shortly after they start fighting for control of the hand. I am eating this shit up. Great belly to belly and awesome roll up sequence for the first fall. Cota dominates 2nd fall early and hooks in a Boston Crab but Rocca escapes. The fall peaks with Rocca destroying the back with arm drags and the camel clutch then ramming the back into the turnbuckle. He ends the fall with a sweet senton leading to a back rack submission. Short 3rd fall but the first 2 falls make up for it. STRONG NOMINATION
August 14, 201312 yr comment_5556302 So happy we got another look at this match up. I just love Cota every time I see him and Rocca was a fine complimentary figure. Loved all the little joint manipulation and finger work from Cota. Like everyone the abbrivated finish keeps this from the hight of their other match, but this was plenty good on its own. BTW Will you want to edit your review and switch around Rocca and Cota
