Los Infernales (Espectro Jr./MS-1/Satanico) vs. Atlantis/Lizmark/Mascara Ano Dos Mil (3/2/84)

Villano III who just worked the previous match gets kicked out of the ring by Espectro & MS-1 as we start. This was the Lizmark/Satanico show here as they were spotlighted and it was great how Lizmark powerbombed Satanico then used his feet on the ropes to pin Satanico with the refs looking right at him. This is totally making me want a Lizmark/Satanico singles match which means they are doing their job of building it well. Loved Lizmark taking himself & Satanico out with a plancha to the floor while the Infernales take out the other tecs quickly to win the 2nd fall. The 3rd fall was all Satanico kicking Lizmark's ass to start then ripping his mask before the others finally got a chance to really work here besides just being involved in the finishes of the falls. They quickly got rid of each other though to allow Lizmark to get his revenge on Satanico and they had a fun exchange before Lizmark fouled Satanico for the DQ. Satanico then challenged Lizmark afterwards for a NWA Middleweight Title shot afterwards which he accepted. I liked this but for a trios match I thought it was way too Lizmark/Satanico centric which was okay since they were building up a singles match but the other guys hardly did much of anything. Fun for what it was but not a nomination.

Mexican National Middleweight Title: Ultraman © vs. "El Puma" Jerry Estrada (3/2/84)

These two had some heated action the week before and this what spawned from it but this is a title match so expect more of a clean match. We get some really great matwork to start with both men working in and out of holds. Estrada gets the early advantage by stretching Ultraman to take a highly competitive 1st fall. Estrada works over Ultraman's arm in the 2nd fall which he started on in the 1st fall but Ultraman fights back slamming him hard on the mat then putting him in a neck crank to make him submit. Ultraman works over Estrada's neck to start the 3rd fall and the heat started to pick up here as Estrada sent Ultraman to the floor then absolutely crushed him with a tope suicida right in the seats. Ultraman though comes back sending Estrada to the other side of the ring and hits him with a tope that he almost missed. Ultraman's right arm is now basically limp and Estrada just wrenches it over his shoulder numerous times and Roberto Rangel calls the doctor to come into the ring to check him out. They decided to stop the match and Estrada is awarded the victory and the title which he celebrates happily. This was a total battle with both men taking it to each other and while the ending wasn't the best it didn't feel cheap as the armwork was there to support it. This is a fairly easy nomination to me.

Tony Salazar vs. Herodes (3/2/84)

OH YEAH!!! this blood feud has been building up the past few weeks and here is the singles match. Herodes attacks Salazar immediately while wearing a fucking white robe like a Klan member then calmly goes to talk to Dr. Morales while Salazar sells on the floor. Salazar takes a fairly quick 1st fall with a nice handspring elbow/senton combo. Both men then worked over the other's left arm in the 2nd fall with Herodes using his weight and power to force a submission. Salazar gets thrown to the floor as the 3rd fall starts and Herodes posts him which brings out the juice and Salazar is wearing white tights here which is an added plus for the blood as it drips down his body. Salazar is a fucking crimson mask here as Herodes is a real dick working over his cut until Salazar fires it up and starts biting Herodes' head getting blood out of his old wounds. The battle goes to the floor where Salazar hits a couple of bulldogs on the wooden floor and HOLY SHIT did Herodes tap a gusher with his blade job. JESUS he is completely covered in blood and Salazar is a fucking vampire going after it being pulled off by the referee by the hair. These two continue to bust their asses even though they are covered in blood with Herodes hitting a HUGE fat boy tope suicida to the floor. Salazar isn't going to be one upped though as he comes back with a high plancha from the ring to the floor. They go back to the ring where it's a total war of attrition with both men trying to put the other away before Herodes hits the referee by mistake then punts Salazar in the balls and tries to pin him but the referee is persuaded by a very loud crowd telling him what happened and he awarded the match to Salazar. The last half of this match was so fucking awesome and this is a home run nomination.

Next we get a promo from Shiro Koshinaka who has Mitsuharu Misawa with him and Kosh calls out Lizmark. (3/9/84)

Hijo del Santo/Ringo Mendoza/Chamaco Valaguez vs. Jerry Estrada/Fuerza Guerrera/Talisman (3/9/84)

Santo & Fuerza feuding is the story early as Fuerza tries to stay away until he has a chance to take cheap shots. A great spot was Fuerza shaking hands and hugging Chamaco before kneeing him in the balls when the referees weren't looking. The tecs took the 1st fall as Ringo & Chamaco got subs while Santo just nailed Fuerza with a running dive from the apron to the floor. The 2nd fall was the rudos trying to come back and they used roughhouse tactics to do that including Fuerza flirting with another foule by kneeing Santo in the inner thigh. Estrada & Talisman get their revenge from the 1st fall getting subs on Ringo & Chamaco as Fuerza posts Santo on the floor to even the falls. The 3rd fall sees Fuerza almost rip Santo's mask completely off and with help from Chamaco, Santo gets a chance to return the favor. Their masks are almost off yet still brawling with each other which is great. Fuerza would finally rip Santo's mask off as the other tecs had the other rudos pinned to end the match. Santo is fucking pissed after he recovers and rips off Fuerza's mask viciously then puts it on his head. Fans threw money in the ring afterwards in appreciation. This was lots of fun seeing young Santo & Fuerza battle it out and I'm pushing it forward as a nomination.
