Everyone else was doing their thing here as well with Salazar & Satanico looking really good in their exchange and Salazar in his exchange with Pirata. Tecnicos took the 1st fall with stereo sunset flips and Satanico was pissed at Pirata for not coming in to save him. Pirata takes a very hard bump into the ringpost to kickoff the 2nd fall but his partners pick up the slack and sent MA2K & Salazar to the floor where Pirata has recovered and assaults them. This leads to the rudos taking the 2nd fall but Satanico & Pirata are still staring each other down. The 3rd fall had some fun action mainly involving Salazar & Satanico although Pirata was taking some great bumps and ate a nice Rayo plancha to the floor. MA2K and Salazar would get the pins to win the match. Good match but not a nomination. Dr. Morales interviews Paco Alonso after the match which is a rare appearance for him on camera. UWA Heavyweight Title: Canek © vs. Cien Caras (9/21/84) It wasn't every day that Canek defended this title here and the fans are nuts for him when he comes out. This is a title match so we get lots of matwork early and Cien really cranks in a headlock and was tough overall for Canek to break free from. Cien was going to keep him on the mat hell or high water. Canek finally gets free by slamming his way out of a hammerlock and he sells his injured shoulder for a few seconds before going to work on Cien's left arm as payback. This doesn't last long though as Cien comes back and takes the fall with a victory roll. Cien immediately gets Canek back on the mat in the 2nd fall and goes back to work on his left arm. Cien has been nasty here working holds which is fun. Canek though reverses his way out of a cradle and locks on a nasty Bow & Arrow but Cien reverses it into a nearfall. The damage was done though as he is selling his back and Canek is on the attack eventually getting a pin to take the 2nd fall. The 3rd fall starts off with a bang as Cien sends Canek to the floor and hits a big slingshot plancha. Canek would come back though locking on a figure-four which saw them roll from the ring to the apron back to the ring to the other side then to the floor where Canek kept the move locked on. Great spot. The battle continued to be back and forth ending up with Canek getting an O'Connor Roll with a bridge but Cien pulled his shoulders down with his and Roberto Rangel counted both men down thus we get a double pinfall and a draw. Cien couldn't even job to Canek wow......nevertheless this was a really good match and a nomination. Caballera contra Caballera: Sangre Chicana vs. MS-1 (9/21/84) This is a rematch of the epic main event the year before with two of the best in the world at this time. The previous match was probably the match of the decade in Mexico and to their credit the wrestlers decided not to have a carbon copy of that match but had a different style of match. This match wasn't built on blood and guts like the other one but it was more based on skills with both men trying to prove to the other one who was the better man. MS-1 definitely wanted to get a win here as revenge from last year and he gave his all here but so did Chicana who wanted to maintain his dominance over MS-1 and it led to some fantastic action. The dives here were vicious especially Chicana's tope suicida which ended the match as he KOed MS-1 forcing a countout. This was a great match and a definite nomination.
