Aguila Solitaria/All-Star/Javier Llanes vs. Tony Arce/Fuerza Guerrera/Vulcano (5/26/89)

Total mauling by the rudos in the 1st fall but the tecnicos make a spirited comeback late in the fall to win it. We get some rudo comedy to start the 2nd fall which was very fun as Fuerza was great here even hitting the Fuerza bump on his partners. The rudos were beating each other up more than the tecnicos were. Fuerza was pissed off at this and started ripping up All-Star's mask before the rudos take the fall to tie it up. Fuerza continued to go after All-Star in the 3rd fall biting his mask and his head trying to get juice but it doesn't work and All-Star fights back sending Fuerza to the floor where he posts him. A funny spot was Fuerza threw All-Star in the air where he dropkicked Arce and pinned him as Fuerza was celebrating then All-Star made Fuerza submit to win. Liked the All-Star/Fuerza stuff here but everything else was just okay.

Sombra Poblana & Tauro Jr. vs. Bufalo Salvaje & Rocco Valiente (5/26/89)

This was a fine undercard match but that's about it.

El Egipcio/Jaque Mate/Verdugo vs. Blue Demon Jr./Mogur/Super Muneco (5/26/89)

The rudos are pissed and just pound on the tecnicos early with Egipcio bloodying up Mogur as their hatred continues. This is pretty good stuff as the other rudos are keeping the other tecs at bay while Egipcio just pounds on Mogur who was wearing white tights and the front was already covered in blood. Egipcio does the patented blood mist spray and Mogur is a mess as the fall ends. With Mogur on the floor it's time for Demon & Muneco to get beat up some more although Egipcio hasn't had enough and he stomps out Mogur. The tide would turn of course as a bloody Mogur snapped and ran in the ring where he just went to town on Egipcio bringing out the juice from him. This is just like the 1st fall but on the opposite as it's a total beatdown before the tecnicos take the fall. By now it was like the other four really didn't matter much here as it was the Mogur/Egipcio show which culminated in the 3rd fall where both men would tee off on each other with blood dripping down their faces. Mogur would try to get Egipcio in a rana but he was dropped with a powerbomb to end the match. Like I said this was the total Mogur/Egipcio show and a bloodbath so of course this is a nomination.

Sangre Chicana vs. Satanico (5/26/89)

There is a handshake before the match which is nice. The 1st fall is a back and forth battle with each guy throwing strikes at each other before Chicana got the edge and submitted Satanico to take the fall. Sangre takes a cheapshot at Satanico between falls which pisses him off and he comes back in the ring firing shots and made him submit to even the falls. This is starting to turn into a slugfest with Chicana throwing bombs on the floor and Satanico following up by biting at his head then they go from brawling in the ring to brawling in the fans and while it's slow and methodical it is violent as hell. The referee finally has enough and rules the match a DDQ as they won't quit fighting on the floor. Total slugfest and a fairly easy nomination to me.

Atlantis/El Dandy/Popitekus vs. Gran Markus Jr./Pirata Morgan/Ulises (5/26/89)

That's quite the tecnico team there. Ulises is Tony Salazar under a hood and he is fun working with Dandy early on. Atlantis & Pirata then came in and tore it up on the mat which was fun as well. I dug Pirata's look at this stage as he looked like a UWFi guy wearing an eyepatch. The big guys came in and Popi looked really good here even impressing Markus who shook his hand before the left the ring. The rest of the fall was just really good lucha action with Pirata bumping hard to the floor and Dandy/Ulises doing mirror spots before the rudos take the fall. Atlantis & Ulises looked really good against each other to start the 2nd fall and it was nice to see the matchups get mixed up here. I dug Markus' standing monkey flip on Dandy so Popi decided to one up hitting a reverse armdrag off the top rope. In the end though Dandy would get Ulises in a Casita and Atlantis with a nice moonsault on Pirata to even the falls. Markus jumped in and raised the tecnicos' hands after the fall which was nice sportsmanship. The tecnicos then helped the rudos up and this has become all lovey dovey. The 3rd fall finally saw Dandy/Pirata have an exchange it was really fun. Popi was AWESOME next with Ulises bouncing around like a pinball and showing his aerial grace. Popi then takes a HUGE bump to the floor where Pirata kills him with a tope suicida leaving Atlantis & Ulises in the ring where Ulises would crush him with a senton to get the win. Everyone then raises each other's hands afterwards in respect and I thought this was a blast. Sure it didn't have any real heat but it was 6 guys trying to impress the other and I like that. Fairly easy nomination.
