August 22, 201312 yr comment_5557895 Do you guys happen to have the highlights from el Santo's farewell match from 1982? That could be a good extra if you have it. It's on one of the discs from this page. It's one of the lucha specials listed (Show #2 "Legendary Luchas") http://www.slambamjam.com/dvdcatalog/027.htm Also interest is the special listed as #1, which apparently has highlights of the Blue Demon vs. El Matematico mask match from 1989. Although on Youtube they have a clip of the Blue Demon vs. Rayo de Jalisco mask match that also occurred in 1989 (apparently from the same special). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZTxpOzdjmQ
August 22, 201312 yr comment_5557899 Ok, looks like the extras are going to be slim pickings. I managed to get everything on 10 discs but it is a very tight ten discs with maybe 15-20 minutes of free space. I am going to try and fit more on by cutting some replays but this will be tough to get much on. Santo's death (do we have clips of the funeral?) seems like a must. I am guessing the Huracan Ramirez match and maybe a thing or 2 more and that is it.
August 23, 201312 yr comment_5558145 If you guys are still planning on adding some limited extras due to the available space, I found something on Youtube that could be used that's not that long. The clip is 3 minutes and 39 seconds. It's a segment called "La Lucha Se Hizo" (The Match Happened/Was Made). It's highlights of El Santo's farewell match. The graphic on the video lists the wrong date (it says August and the commentators actually correct it while showing the clip), but it includes a Santo interview addressing the viewers about his retirement, highlights of the pre-match introductions (there's a shot of Santito hugging his dad before the match and of Santo hugging an old lady who apparently is one of the long time fans that went to the cards), and some highlights of the match. Throughout the clip, the segment commentators identify who's who and explain a bit of what's going on in the highlights. I'm mentioning it just in case it's something you can use. As an aside, I've been amazed with the way you guys go about putting these sets together as seen with how the Lucha process went. It's really impressive the level of thoroughness you guys strive for when reviewing and nominating. Absolute kudos to you guys.
