Holy shit the Zubaz knockoff gear that is being worn here by Dick Slater, Ricky Santana, and producer Fast Eddie is hilarious. Slater & Santana are doing the commentary here which is something else.

 

Puerto Rican Heavyweight Title: Ricky Santana © vs. Mr. Pogo (April 1989) Santana is fiery early taking the brawl to Pogo chasing him around the gym before Pogo would catch him and posted him a couple of times on the floor. Santana juices and Pogo immediately starts biting the cut with Santana's head quickly becoming a crimson mask. Pogo tries to lock on the shennomake but Santana takes him down although he has lost a lot of blood and can't do much. Pogo goes back to the cut while mixing in a nerve hold before Santana hulks up and takes it to Pogo hitting a big splash off the top rope but El Profe distracts him although he cut off Pogo and sent him to the floor. Santana tried to suplex him back in the ring but his foot got caught in the bottom rope and fell backwards while Profe held his foot for the pin. Rufus R. Jones comes out and tells the referee what happened so they reversed the decision. Santana bled a ton but that was the best part of this match as everything else wasn't that hot.

 

Abdullah the Butcher vs. Giant Warrior This is from 1990 and bloody as fuck. Warrior is wearing white tights and they turn red quickly.

 

The California Studs ("Dirty White Boy" Tony Anthony & "Primetime" Brian Lee) vs. The Invader & Ricky Santana This is also from 1990 and this era of WWC was something else as you had Skandor Akbar down there with a stable and DWB pretending to be from California. There is some really serious blood here.

 

Texas Bullrope Match: "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers vs. Ricky Santana (10/29/88) Jaggers attacks Santana at the bell using his rope as a weapon. Jaggers uses the cowbell to bring out the juice from Santana and Jaggers tears open the cut viciously. Santana would get a low blow to stop the Jaggers dominance and then he would use the cowbell to his advantage so now Jaggers is busted wide open. Santana starts choking Jaggers with the rope and this is a cool looking spot as Jaggers' head was already red from the blood and now it gets redder because of the choking. Next we get the classic spot in these type matches where both men touch the corners but Jaggers would kick Santana in the balls before getting to the 4th corner. Jaggers then knocks down the referee and puts the rope around Santana's neck so he could hang him over the top rope which he does then walks out of the ring. I guess there was a DQ finish in there somewhere. There was a lot of blood here but the finish was really bad and hurt this as far as a nomination.

 

The Hardliners (Dick Murdoch & Dick Slater) vs. Carlos Colon & The Invader This is from 1991.

 

Lumberjack Match for the North American Heavyweight Title: Jos LeDuc © vs. Mighty Igor (February 1986) We get blood here but this wasn't very good and Chicky Starr would run in for the DQ.

 

Barbed Wire Match: Carlos Colon vs. Jason the Terrible This cuts off before the finish.
