Posted October 24, 201311 yr comment_5568590 WWC Tag Titles: Kendo Nagasaki & Mr. Pogo © vs. The Rock n Roll Express (Robert Gibson & Ricky Morton) (5/7/88) The heels start on the offensive early which is odd for an RnR match and Gibson is getting the heat which is even odder. Morton comes in and he starts working over Pogo's left wrist and the pacing here is methodical. Morton would eventually work FIP and he got worked over with the match finally looking like a RnR style match. Morton fired up and got the hot tag to Gibson before the 4-way brawl broke out which saw Pogo throw powder in Gibson's eyes for the DQ. Decent match but nothing special. Candi Devine vs. Monster Ripper Giant Warrior & Scott Hall vs. Kim Duk & The Barbarian These were from 1990-91. Next we get clips of a Carlos Colon/Randy Savage match from 1984 which looked great from the clips. Invader I & Bronco I vs. The Samoan Swat Team Mascarita Sagrada vs. Piratita Morgan Super Medicos I & III vs. Eric Embry & Rick Valentine (fire match) These are from 1990-91. Double Indian Strap Match for the Caribbean Tag Titles: The Kansas Jayhawks ("Hangman" Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat) © vs. The Renegade Warriors (Mark & Chris Youngblood) (1/30/88) This is nothing fancy just four guys beating the hell out of each other using the straps to their advantage when they were in control. The blood ends up pouring out of the Jayhawks blonde heads and the violence here is so good. Jaggers & Mark would touch 3 corners together but Jaggers would grab the last one to win but afterwards the Youngbloods just beat the fuck out of the heels with their straps. Damn fun match and an easy nomination. WWC North American Heavyweight Title: Abdullah the Butcher © vs. TNT (1/6/89) Starts out slow but the crowd goes nuts when TNT steals Abby's stick and uses it on him but Abby would knock it out and the referee picked it up. Abby of course pulls another one out and uses it on TNT so now we have double juice. This becomes a gorefest with TNT using his karate strikes before they would go to some big moves trying to put the other one away with TNT breaking out a monkey flip. TNT kept up the big strikes hitting multiple superkicks before wrapping his leg around the ringpost. Abby is on the ropes here but he fights back on the floor before a double countout. Another war here and solid nomination. Hair vs. Hair: Miguel Perez Jr. vs. Super Black Ninja (Keiji Muto) (June 1988) The crowd was hot for Miguelito here and his father was watching from near the locker room. Miguel dominated early but Ninja took over and tried to take the battle to the crowd but that backfired and Miguelito threw him on the ringside table then slammed him on the floor. Once the battle got back to the ring though Ninja took over using nerve holds and the like to neutralize Miguelito before he would make a fiery comeback. Miguel would then hit a fuckin sweet German Suplex hold on Ninja out of nowhere to win the match and then shaved Ninja's head himself. Very fun match and I think this is a fairly easy nomination.
