Posted October 26, 201312 yr comment_5568953 These guys were two of the promotion's best prelim workers, so this could be good. Colt started out jawing at Sandy Barr about his conflict of interest in refereeing Jesse's matches. Very good point, really. They did a nice job of heating up the crowd, with Colt subtly cheating and Barr showing his toughness in fighting out of holds. Cool spot where Colt climbed the ropes to break a full nelson, Sandy Barr ordered the break, and Jesse dropped Colt on his head. Colt caught Barr with a nasty knee to gut as they ran the ropes. They went to a well-done king-of-the-mountain sequence. The action continued to be a lot of fun, with Colt bumping big for Barr's offense and then finding dirty little ways to regain control. He missed a move on the top and took his signature bump right on his tailbone. Barr followed up with a belly-to-back suplex for the win. This was an excellent show opener that showcased both guys' strengths and also featured some entertaining interplay with Sandy Barr. Solid nomination. New Portland Disc 30
