Another great match in the series. With the amount of matches from these 2 guys against each other seems like this might be the best feud in the WWF in the 80's. They start out on the mat and do some fun mat work to start the match. It's kinda like the calm before the storm. Valentine backs him in the corner and nails him with some of those vicious forearms that are banned in certain countries. He goes after the ribs and busts him up. He then lands one of those sick Hammer elbow drops onto Tito's fore head which made me wince. Valentine then focused on the leg. Tito tries a comeback and shows amazing fire and selling the leg the whole time. Tito hits a desperate flying forearm that sends Valentine to the ropes. Tito follows up with another one and pulls the rope down and Tito takes a huge flying bump to the oustside. Tito recovers and him and Greg have an amazing punch exchange on the apron. Valentine lifts him and crotches Tito on the top rope for a DQ. What a match and an High end nomination.

MIDDLE NOMINATION Solid match that was heating up when Tito finally this the burrito and Greg goes flying. A second burrito attempt is dodged by Hammer and Tito takes a HUGE bump outside that distinguishes this match. I would call this a middle nomination. Anti-climactic finish hurts it a bit and there are 9 other matches in the feud to sort through.

I was wrong

PHILLY 5/5/84 REVISIT: I completely whiffed on this match the first time around. Faster pace to start and NASTY shots from Hammer and Tito. The nastiest being a falling elbow drop on Tito’s head. Hammer is just vicious here. No mercy. Tito runs into the corner and meets Hammer’s knee. Damn. Hammer attacking the leg was just as awesome And a lady winces in the audience as Hammer drops the elbow on the leg. Perfect crowd shot. Then Hammer grinds his foot into the knee. Tito kicks Hammer in the ear to escape. Fuuuuccckkk. Tito hits the Brrito and Hammer saves himself by falling outside the ropes and holding on so Tito can’t pull him back in. The missed burrito Tito bump was completely undersold by me on the first time around. The slugfest and Hammer crotching Tito was also wild. This was so fucking awesome. SLAM DUNK NOMINATION.
