I had no expectations for this, but it was a lot of fun. Kiniski came out looking all peppy in his Olympic-style jacket, and Steiner just leveled him before he could even take it off. Steiner kept laying in the nasty forearms to the back of Kiniski's head and neck, but Kiniski finally countered and, in a great spot, choked Steiner with the jacket. After that initial rush, they settled into the classic dynamic of bruising heel vs. flashy babyface. I haven't seen much of either guy, but they both shined in their respective roles. Kiniski ultimately took the pin on a nice looking roll-up. They didn't have enough time to go high-end, but everyone should take a look at this.

Karl Steiner vs. Nick Kiniski (New Portland 50)

- I think Steiner is Bob Heffernan from Puerto Rico.

- Steiner pearl harbors Kiniski early on and just beats the shit out of Nick who still has his ring jacket on. The tide turns on a great flip and dropkick by Kiniski. Really fun early start. After getting rammed into the corner post, Stiner has this great sell where he sits on the floor and trying to clear the cobwebs. Kiniski hits a nasty Piledriver but doesn’t pin him which was a mistake as Steiner regains his senses on a missed turnbuckle charge. Super fun back and forth and you really wish these guys had a 2/3 falls. This only went about 8 or 9 minutes but it was worth watching the entire time. Nomination.
