Posted November 13, 201312 yr comment_5572316 Slaughter and Patterson start out with a little cat and mouse game. Slaughter is caught and bumps big for all of Pattersons offense. Slaughter even eats a it into the metal post above the corner. Patterson slingshots Slaughter into the ring post. Patterson is attacking the back and goes for a Boston Crab. Patterson drops a knee to the back. Both guys are exchanging punches and kicks. Sarge sideteps a charging Patterson who goes to the outside. Sarge teases a dive to the outside. Sarge posts Patterson and kicks him in the head. Sarge even bites Patterson. Now we get some KOTM spots and the match kinda loses some steam. We are back in and Sarge beats him down . Sarge delivers a knee drop to the chest, and then does a backrake. A slam by Sarge. Big knee drop from the top that Sarge misses. Patterson goes for the Figure 4. Patterson is kicking the bumb leg. Patterson with a chair to the leg. Eye rake by Sarge and the Cobra Clutch. Both men hit the ref. Things are out of hand. It's a double DQ. What a good match that was great until the KOTM spots got old. Still the match warrants a high end nomination.

Sargent remains the greatest bumper of the 80s and I wish Pat held on a few more years so we had more stuff on tape. I didn't like the DQ finish with the ref. This wasn't violent enough or insane enough to add to the set with the bad finish.
