JIP with about nine and a half minutes shown. This seemed like it was near the very beginning of the match, but who knows for sure. Crazy to see babyface Embry in town, after his previous stints in PR. After the initial exchange Chicky takes an absolute nuts bump on a lariat. Seriously folds himself up like an accordion and ends up on the floor for a minute licking his wounds. Chicky briefly gained control but got battered in the corner and Embry locked on a flash figure-four which I sort of loved given how big a deal the move is in PR, but Chicky quickly scooted back to the floor. Back in the ring we get Chicky offering his hand to Eric in the most hammy way imaginable which leads to more fist of fury from Embry. Embry ends up taking a nice bump on a missed cross body which is followed up by a tremendously scummy strut from Chicky. Then we get Chicky attacking the leg and trying to lock on a figure-four of his own, but Embry keeps escaping. Fun exchange of shots with Embry throwing punches and Chicky kicks to the leg, leads to the strap dropping comeback and an eventual Embry near fall on a diving headbutt. Chicky ends up stealing the win by inching his shoulders up on the old belly-to-back double pin. This wasn't great, but there are worse matches nominated, and I am a pretty big fan of both face Embry and uber-douche Chicky, and both of them are on display here.

This was a fairly short match but had some good action although there wasn't anything dynamic here to put it over the top as a nomination.

I wanted to nominate this but there simply wasn't enough for it. I loved Chicky's ludicrous bump off of the lariat, the figure four teasing, the handshake spot, Embry's punches, and his bump off the missed cross body. I just wanted a lot more than this. The opening minutes plus five or six more minutes in the middle plus the ending would have made a good nomination. This is tough but I will go NO here.
