I'm going to give this a low level nomination. It's amazing how good this match is when you look at the heel side. Both guys are past their prime. Brower can't bump, Kamata bumps like a luchadore. The icing is that both heels have bitch tits. Pearl harbor to start. Steamboat sells huge. He makes Kamata's strikes deadly. We get some arm drags from Steamer and a Monkey flip. The Garden is behind the faces huge now. Younblood is great in the hot tog, but eventually is cut off. Youngblood fip for a bit. Steamboat in and we get a karate off similar to GAB 90, and gets over big here too. Kamata misses a big splash. Steamboat with a cross body. Brower in and the faces run off their finishing moves for a hot finish.

  • paul sosnowski changed the title to Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood vs Bulldog Brower & Tor Kamata 4/21/80

RICKY STEAMBOAT & JAY YOUNGBLOOD vs BULLDOG BROWER & TOR KAMATA (04/21/1980; WWF MSG; New York, NY; 00:14:32)

-          When Steamboat executes his offense, the crowd comes alive. When the heels attack, not good. The crowd loves Tor Kamata and Steamboat doing fake kung-fu standoffs. It isn’t surprising that the crowd reacts to Steamboat who has the natural charisma similar to Kerry  when he was up north. Finish sees Ricky finally tag Youngblood. Ricky press slams Jay on Bulldog for the win. No nomination.
