This is on the Anniversary 88 show which is definitely available on disc. On some level this was disappointing as it should have been a great match and instead was closer to the very good range. Still there was plenty to like about this. The opening brawling was fun and then it ended up settling into a traditional match with Kroffat being the real star. Not only did he bump his ass off here, he busted out all kinds of fun offense and kept the match from crawling along at a pace that wouldn't have fit the urgency of the gimmick. This really could have used some blood, but the stretch run of this with Perez making a couple of awesome last minute saves on great near falls, Kroffat running through a bunch of really impressive looking spots after taking a bump into a massive mudpile on the ground, and Castillo stealing a win when Kroffat tried to get too cute was really good stuff. The post-match hair cut was good stuff too.

Caballera contra Caballera: The Caribbean Express (Huracan Castillo & Miguel Perez Jr.) vs. The Kansas Jayhawks (Bobby Jaggers & Dan Kroffat) (9/10/88)

Battens are now working full heel on commentary and the babyfaces come out blazing here taking the fight to the Jayhawks going all over the stadium which was really great as the fans were going crazy for the brawling. This was chaotic and volatile which is what you would want from a match with such serious stipulations. The Jayhawks were pinballing like crazy making the babyfaces look very strong. Jayhawks took control on Miguel who did a really good job of working FIP as Kroffat was looking like a machine out there with some high impact offense such as a sweet powerbomb while Jaggers comes in and works more of a standard heel offense. Miguel would tag in Castillo who hit a big clothesline on Kroffat before it turns into a 4-way brawl as the Jayhawks send Miguel to the ground then hit Castillo with the Hart Attack for a big nearfall as Miguel ran back in the ring for the save. Huracan then got a desperation cross body block on Kroffat but Jaggers made the save. Kroffat would get backdropped over the top rope and into the mud on the ground before we get more nearfalls with saves. Miguel hits his big powerslam on Kroffat but Jaggers made the save. Huracan would fall on top of Kroffat in a nifty looking pinfall to win the match. This was a damn good match and yes while this could've used some blood, it didn't hurt the match to me. The haircutting afterwards was great as well. Solid nomination.
