Posted December 8, 201311 yr comment_5575440 This was good. Verhulst was Johnny Londos from the New Japan set and here he worked an up tempo, workrate match that was chock-a-block full of cool holds and awesome throws. Verhulst's takedowns were awesome. Zrno clearly liked this style of working, but I got the impression that it was Verhulst holding this together. What thrilled me the most was that they didn't cop out on the finish. It wasn't a blockbuster finish, but it was totally in keeping with the rest of the match and makes this a comfortable nomination for a Euro set.

It's also an example of a technical match being worked for a big crowd in a stadium as opposed to the more intimate Music Hall stuff you see on World of Sport. Verhulst also made the 1980s NJPW set and this is one of his few tape appearances. He really makes basic things like a hip throw or headscissor look great. The spider bridge spots Mile did were insane.
